Antibiotic Prescription Patterns in Children Under 5 Years of Age With Acute Diarrhea in Quito-Ecuador
CONCLUSION: Variations in IMCI guideline compliance were observed, with no cases fully adhering to the guidelines. Antimicrobial prescription rates were notably high, especially among older children. Primary pulmonary amoebiasis mimicking lung tumour in immunocompromised patient: A case report
We present the case of an immunocompromised 40-year-old man. He complained of cough for 1 month, shortness of breath, and fever. Chest x-ray demonstrated left paracardial consolidation, possibly pneumonia or a mass. Chest CT scans with contrast revealed the presence of an abscess-mimicking tumour. Epidemiologic trends and distributions of imported infectious diseases among travelers to Japan before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2016 to 2021: a descriptive study
CONCLUSION: The epidemiology of imported infectious diseases changed during the pandemic.
