Disproportionate effects of dementia on hospital discharge disposition in common hospitalization categories

CONCLUSIONSDementia proportions in many hospitalization categories have increased. The variable effect of dementia on home discharge suggests that dementia has a differential influence on hospital discharge disposition depending on the DRG.
