ConclusionsThe presence of atrial fibrillation worsens the patient's prognosis in terms of the functional status and survival during the acute period of stroke in patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis.Higher NIHSS and CHA2DS2VASc scores and reduced EF in patients with stroke treated with thrombolysis are the predictors of unfavorable short-term prognosis.

Early and One-Year Outcomes of Acute Stroke in the Industrial Region of Poland During the Decade 2006 –2015: The Silesian Stroke Registry
Conclusions: In a large population of industrial province, we showed recent, positive trends in AS admissions, treatment and 1-year outcomes. Development of stroke unit networks and increase in thrombolytic treatment were at least in part responsible for survival improvement and reduction of recurrence of AS. Impact of collateral circulation status on favorable outcomes in thrombolysis treatment: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
In conclusion, good collateral circulation was demonstrated to have a favorable prognostic value regarding the outcome for patients with AIS receiving thrombolysis treatment. Assessment of collateral circulation and penumbra area during pre-treatment imaging within an appropriate time-window prior to thrombolytic therapy will therefore improve the identification of AIS patients who may benefit from thrombolysis treatment. Thrombolytic Therapy of Acute Ischemic Stroke during Early Pregnancy
Thrombolytic treatment (recombinant tissue plasminogen activator [rt-PA]) has established efficacy in acute ischemic stroke, but pregnancy has been an exclusion criterion for all clinical trials that validated alteplase in acute stroke, so our knowledge about its use in this condition is limited.Herein we report the successful use of intravenous rt-PA thrombolysis, uncomplicated by neither hemorrhage development nor other complication in a woman who was 13 weeks pregnant with acute ischemic stroke.

Thrombolytic Therapy in Acute Ischemic Stroke in Patients Not Fulfilling Conventional Criteria
Conclusions: This study demonstrated that the off-label group had comparable symptomatic intracranial hemorrhagic risk which gave ground for further study into its safety. However, some subgroups had less favorable outcome, including high blood pressure, severe stroke, and old age. This may be due to underlying comorbidities and limited rehabilitation potential rather than thrombolysis per se.

Interventions for acute stroke management in Africa: a systematic review of the evidence
ConclusionEvidence from this review confirms the widespread assertion of low applicability and uptake of evidence-based acute stroke care in LMICs. Despite the limited eligible studies, the overall positive patient outcomes following such interventions demonstrate the applicability and value of evidence-based acute stroke care interventions in Africa. Health policy attention is thus required to ensure widespread applicability of such interventions for improved patients ’ outcomes. Endovascular mechanical thrombectomy for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis: a systematic review
Conclusions EMT is an effective salvage therapy for refractory CVST, with a reasonable safety profile. Chemical thrombolysis, in conjunction with EMT, did not appear to result in additional harm or benefit. Further analysis is warranted to determine predictors of success after EMT for CVST.

Evaluating safety of thrombolysis in chronic kidney disease patients presenting with pulmonary embolism using propensity score matching
AbstractTo assess the safety of thrombolytic therapy in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients who present with pulmonary embolism (PE). We used the Nationwide Inpatient Sample Database to identify patients who underwent thrombolysis for PE between 2010 and 2014. The patients were divided into two groups: (1) No CKD and (2) CKD.
