Decompressive Craniectomy for Traumatic Brain Injury: Postoperative Cerebral Hemodynamic Evaluation
Conclusion: There is a wide heterogeneity of postoperative cerebral hemodynamic findings among TBI patients who underwent DC, including hemodynamic heterogeneity between their cerebral hemispheres. Intracranial Hemorrhage as a Marker for Mycotic Aneurysm in Patients With Infective Endocarditis
Discussion Patients with left-sided and right-sided endocarditis with PFO and ICH on CNS imaging were more likely to have mycotic aneurysms detected through DSA than similar patients without ICH. Routine DSA screening for mycotic aneurysms may not be required in patients with endocarditis undergoing evaluation for valve surgery who present without ICH on CNS imaging.

A Standardized Approach to the Fugl-Meyer Assessment and Its Implications for Clinical Trials
Conclusions. Training with the current method improved accuracy, and reduced variance, of FMA scoring; the 20% FMA variance reduction with training would decrease sample size requirements from 137 to 88 in a theoretical trial aiming to detect a 7-point FMA difference. Minimal detectable change was much smaller than FMA minimal clinically important difference. The variation in FMA gains in relation to baseline FMA suggests that future trials consider a sliding outcome approach when FMA is an outcome measure. The current training approach may be useful for assessing motor outcomes in restorative stroke trials.

Characterization of fine motor development: Dynamic analysis of children's drawing movements.
In this study, we investigated children's fine motor development by analyzing drawing trajectories, kinematics and kinetics. Straight lines drawing task and circles drawing task were performed by using a force sensitive tablet. Forty right-handed and Chinese mother-tongue students aged 6-12, attending classes from grade 1 to 5, were engaged in the experiment. Three spatial parameters, namely cumulative trace length, vector length of straight line and vertical diameter of circle were determined. Anxiety influences TIA diagnosis (P7.134)
Conclusions: We found an elevated TIA-IS ratio among patients with a concurrent ICD9 code for anxiety. The ABCD2 score, assessing symptoms and vascular risk factors, is promoted as a criterion for admission; however, these data suggest that comorbid conditions such as anxiety along with demographic and hospital factors also influence TIA diagnosis. The validity and meaning of an ICD9 code for anxiety is uncertain. Conclusions— Vertebrobasilar, nonsaccular, and dolichoectatic aneurysms are associated with a poor natural history with high growth and rupture rates. Further research is needed to determine the best treatments for this disease.
