Outcome after intracranial hemorrhage under dabigatran and reversal with idarucizumab versus under vitamin-K-antagonists – the RIC-ICH study
ConclusionThese results, based on data from routine clinical practice, suggest that in-hospital mortality after idarucizumab treatment is comparable to that in patients pretreated with VKA. Due to the low precision of estimates, the results must be interpreted with caution.

Stroke-Specific Predictors of Major Bleeding in Anticoagulated Patients With Stroke and Atrial Fibrillation: A Nationwide Multicenter Registry-Based Study
CONCLUSIONS: This study found that major bleeding risk was independently associated with stroke-specific factors in anticoagulated patients with stroke and AF. This has the clinical implication that baseline characteristics of patients with stroke and AF should be considered in secondary prevention, which would bring the net clinical benefit of balancing recurrent stroke prevention with minimal bleeding complications.PMID:37455504 | DOI:10.3988/jcn.2022.0289

Multicenter Comparison of the Safety and Efficacy of Clopidogrel Versus Ticagrelor for Neuroendovascular Stents
ConclusionsUsing DAPT-C or DAPT-T regimens in a broad population of neuroendovascular stenting procedures appears to have similar safety and efficacy profiles. Further prospective evaluation is warranted to streamline the practice of DAPT selection and monitoring to determine the impact on clinical outcomes.

Major complications associated with unfavorable outcome in right ‐sided large hemisphere infarctions: A single‐center study
ConclusionsMost of the RLHI patients have at least one stroke-related complication during hospitalization, and nearly three-quarters suffered unfavorable outcomes. Only MBE, pulmonary infection, and hypoalbuminemia are independently associated with 3-month unfavorable outcome.

Diagnostic accuracy of telestroke consultation: a Louisiana based tele-network experience
ConclusionWe report high diagnostic accuracy of the Ochsner Telestroke Program in discriminating stroke/TIA and stroke mimics, with slight tendency towards over diagnosis of stroke. Female gender, younger age and lower NIHSS score were associated with misdiagnosis.

Bleeding risk and mortality according to antithrombotic agents ’ exposure in cancer-related stroke patients: nationwide population-based cohort study in South Korea
Ischemic stroke with active cancer is thought to have a unique mechanism compared to conventional stroke etiologies. There is no gold standard guideline for secondary prevention in patients with cancer-related...

Internal carotid artery dissection in a patient with hemophilia A: a case report and literature review
We report the case of a man with hemophilia A who developed sCeAD and transient oculo-pyramidal syndrome and was treated with acetylsalicylic acid. We also review previous published cases of arterial dissection in patients with hemophilia, discussing the potential pathogenetic mechanism underlying this rare association and potential antithrombotic therapeutic options.

Efficacy and safety of ticagrelor versus aspirin and clopidogrel for stroke prevention in patients with vascular disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Introduction: Currently, it is still controversial to treat stroke with ticagrelor alone. The purpose of our study was to systematically review and analyze the efficacy and safety of ticagrelor on cerebrovascular outcomes in patients with vascular risk factors. Methods: The PubMed, Cochrane Library, and EMBASE databases were systematically searched using the keywords stroke, ticagrelor, clopidogrel, and aspirin to identify randomized controlled trials (RCT). Primary outcomes included reported stroke, ischemic stroke and complex events; the secondary outcome was hemorrhagic stroke. The safety outcomes included major bleedi...
