The relationship between CTA performances and cardiac function indicators in myocardial bridge and mural coronary artery
CONCLUSIONS: Cardiac function indicators, mainly CO and LVEF are correlated with the CTA performance of MB-MCA patients. The combination of cardiac function indicators has a good effect in predicting the severity of MB-MCA.PMID:37560240 | PMC:PMC10408538

Prognostic value of multiphase CT angiography: estimated infarct core volume in the patients with acute ischaemic stroke after mechanical thrombectomy
To evaluate the prognostic value of multiphase computed tomography angiography (mCTA)-estimated infarct core (IC) volume in patients with acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) after mechanical thrombectomy (MT).

Traumatic vertebral artery injury: Denver grade, bilaterality, and stroke risk. A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: VAI complicates a small yet nontrivial fraction of blunt trauma cases, with Denver grade IV lesions being the most common. This is the first study to document a significantly higher stroke prevalence among grade III and IV VAIs compared with grade I and II VAIs independently from bilaterality. Bilateral VAIs carry a significantly higher stroke rate.PMID:37548568 | DOI:10.3171/2023.5.JNS222818

Endovascular Treatment for Acute Large Vessel Occlusion Due to Underlying Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease
Semin Neurol DOI: 10.1055/s-0043-1771207Intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD) is one of the most common causes of acute ischemic stroke worldwide. Patients with acute large vessel occlusion due to underlying ICAD (ICAD-LVO) often do not achieve successful recanalization when undergoing mechanical thrombectomy (MT) alone, requiring rescue treatment, including intra-arterial thrombolysis, balloon angioplasty, and stenting. Therefore, early detection of ICAD-LVO before the procedure is important to enable physicians to select the optimal treatment strategy for ICAD-LVO to improve clinical outcomes. Early diagnosis of IC...

History of Neurointervention
Semin Neurol DOI: 10.1055/s-0043-1771455In this review article, we aim to provide a summary of the discoveries and developments that were instrumental in the evolution of the Neurointerventional field. We begin with developments in the advent of Diagnostic Cerebral Angiography and progress to cerebral aneurysm treatment, embolization in AVMs and ischemic stroke treatment. In the process we discuss many persons who were key in the development and maturation of the field. A pivotal aspect to rapid growth in the field has been the multidisciplinary involvement of the different neuroscience specialties and therefore we close o...

Coronary artery disease grading by cardiac CT for predicting outcome in patients with stable angina
CONCLUSION: In patients referred for invasive angiography, a history of CHD was the strongest predictor of MACE. In patients without history of CHD, a coronary calcium score yielded at least equal risk stratification vs. more complex CHD grading.PMID:37541910 | DOI:10.1016/j.jcct.2023.07.004

Impact of ongoing intravenous thrombolysis until completion of endovascular treatment in large vessel occlusion stroke patients
ConclusionOur findings suggest that ongoing IVT until ET completion has a favorable impact on both clinical and angiographic outcomes, as well as on periprocedural conditions, regardless of the overall time intervals involved. Therefore, rapid ET after IVT should be sought in order to take advantage of the additive effect of ongoing IVT during ET. Future studies should consider IVT timing in the context of ET as a potential confounder and treatment target.

LB-004 Novel saccular endovascular aneurysm lattice (SEAL device) pre-seal it early clinical feasibility trial: procedural, 24-hours, and 3-month safety and effectiveness independent core lab adjudicated outcomes
ConclusionThe final procedural, 24-hour, and 3-month follow-up results of the PRE-SEAL-IT trial demonstrated promising occlusion rates at post-procedural, 24-hour, and 3 months follow-up with no safety concerns.DisclosuresB.
