P114/135 Drug-coated balloons for treatment of in-stent restenosis following carotid artery stenting: a major case, single center study
ConclusionIn our practice, DCB offers a straightforward option to treat restenosis of the ACI ostium. The low rate of periprocedural complications and the median time of freedom from symptoms and/or restenosis suggest that DCB angioplasty for ISRS is a viable treatment.Disclosure of InterestNothing to disclose

P135/313 Predictive value of CT head and CT angiogram in identifying ICAD associated large vessel occlusion
ConclusionOur findings suggest a significant association between the absence of the hyperdense artery sign and the presence of tapering at the occlusion site with ICAD in patients with LVO. Incorporating these signs in pre-thrombectomy evaluation has the potential to improve stroke care.Disclosure of InterestDr. Joe Leyon has/had consultancy agreements with Microvention Terumo, Medtronic, and Stryker Neurovascular.

P156/208 Association between arterial diameter and outcome in acute M2 occlusive ischemic stroke patients treated with endovascular thrombectomy
ConclusionThis study demonstrated that the lowest quartile of M2 diameter was associated with procedural complication in the acute M2 occlusion patients treated with EVT. However, clinical outcome was not differed.Disclosure of InterestNothing to disclose

P160/223 Acute stroke with treatment of tandem lesions under triple antiplatelet therapy: procedural saftey, stent patency and outcome at 90 days
ConclusionTL treatment under triple AP was safe in our experience, resulting in a low rate of restenosis and with favorable outcome in 92%. The influence of comorbidities on restenosis could be negligible within the described follow-up period.Disclosure of InterestPhilipp von Gottberg: Nothing to disclose.Ali Khanafer: Nothing to discloseVictoria Hellstern: Proctering for phenox GmbH.Alexandru Cimpocca: Nothing to disclose.Hans Henkes: Proctoring for phenox GmbH, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of CONTARA GmbH

Association between vertebrobasilar artery geometry and vertebrobasilar stenosis, recurrence, and death in posterior circulation stroke and transient ischemic attack
CONCLUSIONS: The geometric characteristics of the VBA are associated with vertebrobasilar stenosis, LAA stroke, 1-year recurrence, and death in posterior circulation stroke and TIA. VBA geometry may be used to stratify the risk of stroke and TIA in the posterior circulation.PMID:37598548 | DOI:10.1016/j.jstrokecerebrovasdis.2023.107306

Left atrial appendage angiography for stroke risk prediction in patients with atrial fibrillation
Conclusions: Impaired mechanical function of the LAA, indicated by a low LAAEF and CR, is associated with a history of stroke in patients with AF. Assessment of CR using LAA angiography helps improve the stratification scheme for stroke risk prediction.PMID:37594402 | DOI:10.4244/EIJ-D-23-00325

Rethinking the role of CT perfusion in the management of emergent large vessel ischemic stroke
The treatment of emergent large vessel occlusion (ELVO) was revolutionized by endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). The identification of eligible patients for EVT has sparked significant interest in determining the neuroimaging modality that offers optimal results. The American Stroke Association recommend the use of both non-contrast CT and CT angiogram for patients coming in the early window (0–6 hours).1 In the late window (6–24 hours) the randomized trials, DAWN and DEFUSE 3, showed clinical benefit utilized some form of quantitative estimation of the core infarct.2 3 Consequently the society recommends automat...

Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score and collateral status predict target mismatch in large vessel occlusion with delayed time windows
Conclusions NCCT ASPECTS had a strong correlation with CTP core volumes in patients with LVO-AIS in delayed time windows. Combining NCCT ASPECTS with sCTA-CS resulted in a more accurate prediction of target mismatch. If a CTP scan is not available, NCCT ASPECTS combined with sCTA-CS may guide clinicians in making treatment decisions.

Thrombectomy with and without computed tomography perfusion imaging for large-vessel occlusion stroke in the extended time window: a meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials
ConclusionThese findings suggest that the choice of NCCT ± CTA (without CTP) for the assessment of mechanical thrombectomy within 6–24 h after LVO in the anterior circulation is not significantly different from CTP; instead, the choice of NCCT ± CTA significantly reduces the time from onset to arterial puncture.
