E-164 Symptomatic developmental venous anomaly thrombosis associated with covid-19 infection
We describe a milder case of DVA thrombosis in the setting of COVID-19 infection presenting with unilateral hemiparesis requiring medical management alone. A 41-year-old female with hypertension who presented with left hemiparesis. Non-contrast computed tomography (CT) of head revealed linear calcifications in the right centrum semiovale consistent with DVA. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed an acute ischemic stroke in the right corona radiata adjacent to the vascular abnormality. E-189 Outcomes of tenecteplase versus alteplase after mechanical thrombectomy in a multiethnic stroke consortium registry
ConclusionIn this prospective, multi-center stroke consortium study, IV TNK in comparison to tPA prior to MT for ischemic stroke resulted in non-inferior outcomes related to angiographic reperfusion and functional status at discharge. These findings compliment the current literature and include a large Hispanic US cohort. E-231 Long-term safety and efficacy of the pipeline embolization device for treatment of small vs. large aneurysms: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionThe long-term occlusion rate after PED treatment is higher in large vs. small aneurysms. Symptomatic thromboembolic rates with stroke are also higher in large vs. small aneurysms. The difference in the rates of aneurysm rupture and intracranial hemorrhage was insignificant. Although the PED seems a safe and effective treatment for small and large aneurysms, further studies are required to clarify how occlusion rate and morbidity are affected by aneurysm size.Disclosures A. This study presents a unique case of a 54-year-old male patient with a history of stroke, liver cirrhosis, portal vein thrombosis, hypertension, diabetes, and bladder cancer, who experienced multiple episodes of intracranial hemorrhages, stroke and worsening confusion over the past five years. The patient‘s clinical presentation raised suspicion for an underlying occult vasculopathy. Surgical Myocardial Revascularization with a Composite T-graft from the Left Internal Mammary Artery-Comparison of the Great Saphenous Vein with the Radial Artery
CONCLUSION: CABG with a composite T-graft between LIMA and a segment of SV may be comparable to bypass surgery with a composite T-graft between LIMA and RA. This might be true in terms of morbidity and mortality over an intermediate-term observation period.
