Clinical, socioeconomic, and behavioural factors at age 50 years and risk of cardiometabolic multimorbidity and mortality: A cohort study
ConclusionsThe importance of specific midlife factors in disease progression, from disease-free state to single disease, multimorbidity, and death, varies depending on the disease stage. While clinical risk factors at age 50 determine the risk of incident cardiometabolic disease in a disease-free population, midlife socioeconomic and behavioural factors are stronger predictors of progression to multimorbidity and mortality in people with cardiometabolic disease.

Estimation and Prediction of Avoidable Health Care Costs of Cardiovascular Diseases and Type 2 Diabetes Through Adequate Dairy Food Consumption: A Systematic Review and Micro Simulation Modeling Study.
CONCLUSION: Our analysis demonstrated that increasing dairy foods consumption to recommended levels would be associated with reductions in healthcare costs. Adherence to a healthy diet in relation to cardiovascular incidence and risk markers: evidence from the Caerphilly Prospective Study
ConclusionsHigher DASH and AHEI-2010 scores were associated with lower CVD and stroke risk, and favourable cardiovascular health outcomes, suggesting that encouraging middle-aged men to comply with the dietary recommendations for a healthy diet may have important implications for future vascular disease and population health.

The Mediterranean Diet, the OGG1 Gene, and Disease Risk: Early Evidence
The relationship between European food and fat consumption trends and coronary heart disease, cancer, stroke, and all-cause mortality has increasingly gained public health attention.1-3 This increase in attention began with early ecological evidence suggesting a positive association between a Mediterranean-type dietary pattern and health compared to dietary patterns with low intake of olive oil.1-3 The Mediterranean diet (MedDiet) pattern is not a single dietary pattern, but rather a variation of rural Mediterranean Basin dietary patterns that traditionally share some commonalities.
