The Dutch Oxford Cognitive Screen (OCS-NL): psychometric properties in Flemish stroke survivors
ConclusionsOur results suggest that the OCS-NL is a reliable cognitive screen that can be used in acute stroke and rehabilitation units. The OCS-NL may be more sensitive to detect cognitive impairment in young stroke patients and less likely to underestimate cognitive abilities in left-hemispheric stroke patients than the MoCA.

Unsupervised Deep Learning for Stroke Lesion Segmentation on Follow-up CT Based on Generative Adversarial Networks FUNCTIONAL
CONCLUSIONS: An unsupervised generative adversarial network can be used to obtain automated infarct lesion segmentations with a moderate Dice similarity coefficient and good volumetric correspondence.

Effectiveness and implementation of SHared decision-making supported by OUTcome information among patients with breast cancer, stroke and advanced kidney disease: SHOUT study protocol of multiple interrupted time series
Introduction Within the value-based healthcare framework, outcome data can be used to inform patients about (treatment) options, and empower them to make shared decisions with their health care professional. To facilitate shared decision-making (SDM) supported by outcome data, a multicomponent intervention has been designed, including patient decision aids on the organisation of post-treatment surveillance (breast cancer); discharge location (stroke) and treatment modality (advanced kidney disease), and training on SDM for health care professionals. The SHared decision-making supported by OUTcome information (SHOUT) study ...

Hypertensive response to exercise in adult patients with repaired aortic coarctation
Conclusions A hypertensive response to exercise was present in nearly half of the patients in this large, prospective cohort of adults with repaired CoA. Risk factors for increased peak exercise SBP were male sex, absence of a bicuspid aortic valve and elevated resting SBP. Increased peak exercise SBP independently predicted hypertension at follow-up. These results support close follow-up of patients with a hypertensive response to exercise to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment of future hypertension.

Outcome of non-cooled asphyxiated infants with under-recognised or delayed-onset encephalopathy
Conclusions All infants with documented perinatal asphyxia and seizure onset within 24 hours after birth who did not receive TH had abnormalities on MRI. 51% had an adverse outcome. Better methods for recognition of infants who might benefit from TH and careful neurodevelopmental follow-up are urgently needed.

The transferability and validity of a population-level simulation model for the economic evaluation of interventions in diabetes: the MICADO model
ConclusionsThe transferability of the MICADO model varied by event and per cohort. Additional adjustments improved prediction of events for MICADO. To ensure a valid model in a new setting it is imperative to assess the impact of adjustments in terms of model accuracy, even when this involves the same country, but a new time period.

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation amid the COVID-19 pandemic: a  nationwide analysis of the first COVID-19 wave in the Netherlands
CONCLUSIONS: During the COVID-19 pandemic, patient characteristics and outcomes after TAVI were not different than before the pandemic. This highlights the fact that TAVI procedures can be safely performed during the COVID-19 pandemic, without an increased risk of complications or mortality.PMID:35648264 | DOI:10.1007/s12471-022-01704-9

Etiology of Large Vessel Occlusion Posterior Circulation Stroke: Results of the MR CLEAN Registry
CONCLUSIONS: Unlike the anterior circulation, most frequent cause in our posterior large vessel occlusion stroke cohort is LAA followed by cardioembolism, dissection, and ESUS. Patients with cardioembolism and ESUS have a better prognosis for functional outcome after endovascular thrombectomy than patients with LAA.PMID:35543130 | DOI:10.1161/STROKEAHA.121.038054
