A Rare Case of Painful Trigeminal Neuropathy Secondary to Lateral Medullary Infarct: Neuroimaging and Electrophysiological Studies.
CONCLUSION: Painful trigeminal neuropathy attributed to lateral medullary infarct is a unique disease entity. Ophthalmic branch involvement, coexisting sensory deficits, absence of triggers, and rapid evolvement and remission are its characteristics. Our neuroimaging study delineated ischemic stroke pathology within descending tract and spinal nucleus of trigeminal nerve. Serial electrophysiological studies provide evidences supporting ephaptic transmission as the main pathogenesis concordant with dynamics of neuropathic pain and therapeutic implications. Effects of whole body vibration on muscle spasticity for people with central nervous system disorders: A systematic review.
CONCLUSION: Whole-body vibration may be useful in reducing leg muscle spasticity in cerebral palsy but this needs to be verified by future high quality trials. There is insufficient evidence to support or refute the notion that whole-body vibration can reduce spasticity in stroke, spinocerebellar ataxia or multiple sclerosis. Vascular gait disorders: What's the matter with the white and gray matter?
Small vessel disease is the commonest known brain disorder, and, among its hallmarks, difficulty walking is a major cause of increased dependency and reduced quality of life, as well as death. Although gait problems relate to the presence and extent of various neuroimaging markers of small vessel disease (e.g., white matter hyperintensities, lacunes, and cerebral microbleeds), the exact mechanisms involved, and any additional role of neurodegenerative pathology, are not well-understood. A key question is how small vessel disease affects white matter integrity and ultimately motor and cognitive function to result in clinical symptoms.

Paradoxical Embolism in the Setting of Inferior Vena Cava Filter Removal (P1.283)
Conclusions:Although clinically relevant events secondary to IVC filter migration and fracture are rare, they can be life-threatening. Care should be taken when choosing to place these devices, and alternative therapies should be considered when possible. They should be removed when no longer needed, as fracture rates are increased with longer dwell times. A severe, relapsing case of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein IgG-associated CNS inflammation
A 55-year-old man presented in October 2004 with general unease, vomiting, and gait disturbance. Initially diagnosed with an inner ear infection, the patient's symptoms did not improve and he was evaluated further. MRI revealed a cerebellar lesion, which led to the suspicion of a posterior circulation stroke, and he was started on antiplatelet drugs. However, an angiogram suggested no vascular pathology. Vertebral Artery Dissection Following Cervical Spine Injury as a Diagnostic Challenge. Case Study.
We present the case of a spinal cord-injured patient with neurological sequelae and delayed posterior circu-la-tion stroke caused by bilateral vertebral artery dissection. The signs of cerebellar and occipital lobe ischemia were masked by manifestations of spinal cord injury. Gasperini Syndrome: A Case Report and Systematic Review and Proposing a New Definition

Dorsal Midbrain Syndrome: Clinical and Imaging Features in 75 Cases
Conclusions: This large series expands on the clinical profile of DMS. Neoplasms and strokes were the most common causes. Obstructive hydrocephalus alone, identified as a major cause in the largest previously published series, was uncommon. Case report: Acute vestibular syndrome and cerebellitis in anti-Yo paraneoplastic syndrome
