Disparities in ethnicity and metabolic disease burden in referrals to nephrology
CONCLUSION: A disproportionately large number of Malay patients are referred for kidney disease. These patients have higher metabolic disease burden, tend to miss appointments and are referred at lower eGFR. Sleep Duration and Chronic Disease Among Older Native Hawaiians or Other Pacific Islanders and Asians: Analysis of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System
ConclusionsFindings suggest older NHOPIs with SS or LS experience worse health. NHOPIs and Asians varied on the relationship between sleep and chronic disease, underscoring the need to disaggregate Asian/NHOPI data to understand health disparities.

Association of baseline fasting plasma glucose with 1-year mortality in non-diabetic patients with acute cerebral infarction: a multicentre observational cohort study
Conclusion
In non-diabetic patients with ACI, elevated baseline FPG is an independent risk factor for 1-year all-cause mortality, and the two are positively and non-linearly associated. These results suggest that high FPG should be seen as a concern in non-diabetic patients with ACI.

Predictive performance of CHA2DS2-VASc-HS score and Framingham risk scores for coronary disease severity in ischemic heart disease patients with invasive coronary angiography
CONCLUSIONS: Our study demonstrated a high predictive performance of coronary artery injury using the CHA2DS2-VASc-HS score and Framingham risk scores.
