Prevalence of the age-related diseases in older patients with acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that a careful comprehensive geriatric assessment of acquired TTP patients is necessary. It is important to look for other autoimmune diseases and such age-related comorbidities as osteoporosis, arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disease.

Emicizumab for the Treatment of Acquired Hemophilia_A: Lessons Learned from 4 Very Different Cases
In conclusion, emiczumab seems to be an effective hemostatic therapy also for AHA, which offers several advantages: subcutaneous weekly therapy, good hemostatic efficacy, possible outpatient therapy, the option to reduce the intensity of immunosuppressive therapy to avoid side effects (as the patients are protected from bleeding), and seems even to be more cost effective than bypassing agents. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in the U.S. Hemophilia Population: A Cohort Study
Conclusions: In this interim analysis of an ongoing national prospective cohort study, older men with moderate to severe hemophilia commonly report risk factors for CKD, including HTN (51.5%), DM, viral infection, and potential renal damaging medication use. Only 11.6% had CVD. Urological symptoms were also common, including hematuria and obstructive symptoms with urination.In our cohort, 11.4% met the definition of CKD, defined as the presence of either kidney damage or GFR < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 for ≥ 3 months. Cerebral microbleeds: hearing through the silence - a narrative review.
CONCLUSIONS: It is critical for nonradiologist clinicians (primary care, internists, neurologists, hematologists) to be aware of the potential importance of the finding of a CMB, and the fact that these lesions are not always truly silent or without important clinical consequences. As additional studies appear, clinicians may be able to "hear" more clearly through the silence of the CMB and understand potential clinical implications in patients.

Risk of major comorbidities among workers with hemophilia: A 14-year population-based study
In this study, we investigated the incidence of comorbidities and their risk factors among workers with hemophilia.
The study compared the incidence and risk factors of the major comorbidities of 411 workers with hemophilia enrolled in Taiwan's National Health Insurance Research Database between 1997 and 2010 with an age- and sex-matched general population.

Increased Prevalence of Early Post Stroke Depression Among Single Women after Ischemic Stroke. (P5.147)

How to compare cardiovascular disease and risk factors in elderly patients with haemophilia with the general population
ConclusionIncreased prevalence of hypertension in PWH should trigger regular screening. CHD does occur in PWH aged ≥60 years though apparently with lower prevalence. Given the growing population of elderly PWH, guidelines for prevention and treatment of CVD should be developed.
