HMOX1 Participates in Pre-Eclampsia by Regulating the Proliferation, Apoptosis, and Angiogenesis Modulation Potential of Mesenchymal Stem Cells via VEGF
Biochem Genet. 2023 Aug 12. doi: 10.1007/s10528-023-10474-x. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are involved in the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia (PE). Heme oxygenase (HMOX) protects against placental cytotoxic injuries associated with PE. Here, we aimed to clarify the roles of HMOX1 in MSC proliferation and apoptosis, trophoblast cell migration, and regulation of angiogenesis, and assess its involvement in the pathogenesis of PE. HMOX1 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression levels in decidual tissues and decidua-derived MSCs (dMSCs) of healthy pregnant women and patients with PE ...

GSE240039 Expression of PVRL4, a molecular target for cancer treatment, is transcriptionally regulated by FOS family protein ATAC
Contributors : Tomoyuki Nanamiya ; Kiyoko Takane ; Kiyoshi Yamaguchi ; Yoichi FurukawaSeries Type : Genome binding/occupancy profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensNectin-4 or PVRL4 is a promising therapeutic target because its augmented expression has been found in a wide range of human cancers. It is of note that Enfortumab Vedotin, an ADC for PVRL4 is clinically used for the treatment of urothelial bladder cancer. In addition, rMV-SLAMblind, a genetically engineered oncolytic measles virus, can infect cancer cells and induce apoptosis through an interaction with PVRL4. Although the transcripts of ...

Simvastatin prevents BMP-2 driven cell migration and invasion by suppressing oncogenic DNMT1 expression in breast cancer cells
This study emphasized to decipher the molecular mechanism of endogenous regulation of DNMT1 expression for finding upstream signaling molecules. Cancer database analyses found an upregulated DNMT1 expression in most cancer types including breast cancer. Overexpression of DNMT1 showed an increased cell migration, invasion, and stemness potential whereas 5-azacytidine (DNMT1 inhibitor) and siRNA mediated knockdown of DNMT1 exhibited inhibition of such cancer activities in breast cancer MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cells. Infact, cancer database analyses further found a positive correlation of DNMT1 transcript with both cholesterol p...

Effect of siRNA-mediated silencing of p53R2 gene on sensitivity of T-ALL cellsto Daunorubicin
CONCLUSION: The results of the present study showed that silencing of p53R2 using siRNA can significantly increase the antitumor effects of Daunorubicin on T-ALL cells. Therefore, p53R2 siRNA has the potential to be used as an adjuvant therapy in combination with Daunorubicin in T-ALL.PMID:37419428 | DOI:10.1016/j.gene.2023.147622
