Aging-Dependent Downregulation of SUV39H1 Histone Methyltransferase Increases Susceptibility to Stress-Induced Depressive Behavior
AbstractAging induces cellular and molecular changes including gene expression alteration in the brain, which might be associated with aging-induced decrease in stress coping ability. In the present study, we investigate how aging changes the ability to cope with stress and increases sensitivity to stress. Aged mice show decreased expression of SUV39H1 histone methyltransferase and increased expression of Mkp-1 in the hippocampus. Thioredoxin interacting protein drives astrocytic glucose hypometabolism in corticosterone ‐induced depressive state
In this study, we firstly applied18F-FDG PET and observed brain glucose hypometabolism in prefrontal cortex (PFC) of corticosterone-induced depression of rats. Hypothermia Promotes Mitochondrial Elongation In Cardiac Cells Via Inhibition Of Drp1
In conclusion hypothermia promoted elongation of cardiac mitochondria via reduced pDrp1S616 abundance which was also associated with suppression of cellular oxygen consumption. Silencing of TRPV1 in H9c2 cardiomyocytes reproduced the morphological and respirometric phenotype of hypothermia. Overexpressed MPS-1 contributes to endometrioma development through the NF- κB signaling pathway
CONCLUSION: MPS-1 can regulate EcESCs proliferation, motility, invasion, apoptosis, and cell cycle via the NF-κB signaling pathway in endometrioma. This may contribute to the formation or development of endometriotic foci. Quercetin alleviates chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depressive-like behaviors by promoting adult hippocampal neurogenesis via FoxG1/CREB/ BDNF signaling pathway
In this study, we explored whether quercetin plays an anti-depressant role via regulation of FoxG1 signaling in mice and revealed the potential mechanisms. To explore the antidepressant effects of quercetin, mice were subjected to behavioral tests after a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) exposure. We found that chronic quercetin treatment (15 mg/kg, 30 mg/kg) obviously restored the weight loss of mice caused by CUMS and alleviated CUMS-induced depression-like behaviors, such as increased sucrose consumption, improved locomotor activity and shorten immobility time.
