Effects of breathing exercises on chronic low back pain: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
CONCLUSION: Breathing exercises can reduce pain, assist people with lumbar disabilities, and improve pulmonary function, and could be considered as a potential alternative treatment for CLBP.PMID:37718775 | DOI:10.3233/BMR-230054

Patient-based Pre-classified Real-Time Quality Control (PCRTQC)
CONCLUSION: The pre-classification step effectively reduced inter-individual variation and improved data preprocessing, filtering, and modelling. The PCRTQC is a robust framework for real-time quality control research.PMID:37722577 | DOI:10.1016/j.cca.2023.117562

Clinical analysis of bacterial infection characteristics in lymphoma patients with high-dose chemotherapy combined with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation-a single-centered retrospective study
CONCLUSION: High-dose chemotherapy combined with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HDT/AHSCT) is used to treat lymphoma. Although AHSCT has made considerable strides and become safer, HDT-AHSCT infection continues to be a leading cause of morbidity and mortality associated with transplantation.PMID:37718527 | DOI:10.2174/1386207326666230915115056

Crocin Combined With Cisplatin Regulates Proliferation, Apoptosis And Emt Of Gastric Cancer Cells Via The Fgfr3/Mapk/Erk Pathway In Vitro And In Vivo
CONCLUSION: Our results showed that up-regulation of FGFR3 reversed the inhibitory effect of crocin+DDP on the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway. Still, this effect could be counteracted by PD184352, which simultaneously regulated the proliferation, apoptosis, and EMT of AGS cells. In conclusion, crocin, combined with DDP, inhibits proliferation, apoptosis, and EMT of GC through the FRFR3/MAPK/ERK pathway.PMID:37718528 | DOI:10.2174/1568009624666230915111239

An integrated data- and theory-driven crash severity model
Accid Anal Prev. 2023 Sep 16;193:107282. doi: 10.1016/j.aap.2023.107282. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTFor crash severity modeling, researchers typically view theory-driven models and data-driven models as different or even conflicting approaches. The reason is that the machine-learning models offer good predictability but weak interpretability, while the latter has robust interpretability but moderate predictability. In order to alleviate the tension between them, this study proposes an integrated data- and theory-driven crash-severity model, known as Embedded Fusion model based on Text Vector Representations (TVR-EF), by...

Cultural adaptations and methodological innovations to group model building for the systems actions to reduce malnutrition in all its forms in Southeast Asian countries and China (SYSTAM CHINA-SEACS International Consortium) project
CONCLUSIONS: Cultural and methodological adaptations to the common GMB process for an Asian LMIC setting were successful. The 'hybrid' GMB format is feasible, cost-effective, and more environmentally friendly. These cultural adaptations could be considered for other Asian settings and beyond to address inter-related, complex issues such as MIAIF.PMID:37723534 | PMC:PMC10506199 | DOI:10.1186/s12966-023-01510-5

Potential selection for lipid kinase activity and spermatogenesis in Henan native pig breeds and growth shaping by introgression of European genes
CONCLUSIONS: Admixture of North China, East China and foreign pigs contributed to high genetic diversity of Henan local pigs. Ontology terms associated with lipid kinase activity and spermatogenesis and growth shaping by introgression of European genes in Henan pigs were identified through selective sweep analyses.PMID:37723431 | PMC:PMC10506266 | DOI:10.1186/s12711-023-00841-y

Disulfiram-Like Reaction With Ginaton: A Case Report and Literature Review
This article details such a case from China. Healthcare providers should be proactive in educating patients about the potential adverse reactions related to using Ginaton and the importance of avoiding alcohol consumption while using it. Patients should also be advised to disclose their alcohol-consumption habits and seek medical advice before initiating treatment with any medication or supplement during treatment with Ginaton.PMID:37722955 | DOI:10.1016/j.clinthera.2023.08.013
