Complete Hemifacial Paralysis Post-Facelift: Making Sense of a Plastic Surgeon's Worst Nightmare
CONCLUSIONS: Hemifacial paralysis associated with Bell's palsy following rhytidectomy is a rare but known clinical entity that should be included in the preoperative informed consent process prior to facelift. Occurrence and treatment of peripheral nerve injuries after cosmetic surgeries
Although non-invasive and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures increasingly dominate the cosmetic market, traditional plastic surgery remains the most effective improvement method. One of the most common complications in plastic surgery, peripheral nerve injuries, though has a low incidence but intrigued plastic surgeons globally. Tranexamic acid in rhytidectomy: a scoping review
CONCLUSION: Although there is still a lack of information on TXA in facelift patients, we are not able to deny the beneficial effects of TXA on this topic.
