A retrospective study on weaning glucocorticoids and recovery of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with glucocorticoid induced AI maintained on once-daily prednisolone can recover HPA axis function when weaning. Immunosuppression induces regression of fibrosis in primary biliary cholangitis with moderate-to-severe interface hepatitis
CONCLUSION: Combination therapy with IS improves outcomes in PBC patients with moderate-to-severe interface hepatitis compared to UDCA monotherapy. Baseline IgG and ALP are the most significant predictors of fibrosis regression.
