Flexible filament winding strategy to prepare COF@polyionic liquid-coated fibers for non-selective exclusion of macromolecules in electro-enhanced solid-phase microextraction
Anal Chim Acta. 2024 Jun 1;1306:342609. doi: 10.1016/j.aca.2024.342609. Epub 2024 Apr 13.ABSTRACTBACKGROUND: Accurate quantitative analysis of small molecule metabolites in biological samples is of great significance. Hydroxypolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (OH-PAHs) are metabolic derivatives of emerging pollutants, reflecting exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Macromolecules such as proteins and enzymes in biological samples will interfere with the accurate quantification of OH-PAHs, making direct analysis impossible, requiring a series of complex treatments such as enzymatic hydrolysis. Therefore, the d...

Dual-mode fluorescence and colorimetric smartphone-based sensing platform with oxidation-induced self-assembled nanoflowers for sarcosine detection
Anal Chim Acta. 2024 Jun 1;1306:342586. doi: 10.1016/j.aca.2024.342586. Epub 2024 Apr 8.ABSTRACTBACKGROUND: Early prostatic cancer (PCa) diagnosis significantly improves the chances of successful treatment and enhances patient survival rates. Traditional enzyme cascade-based early cancer detection methods offer efficiency and signal amplification but are limited by cost, complexity, and enzyme dependency, affecting stability and practicality. Meanwhile, sarcosine (Sar) is commonly considered a biomarker for PCa development. It is essential to develop a Sar detection method based on cascade reactions, which should be effici...

Homochiral light-sensitive metal-organic framework photoelectrochemical gated transistor for enantioselective discrimination of monosaccharides
In this study, a light-sensitive organic photoelectrochemical transistor (OPECT) with homochiral character is developed for enantiomer discrimination. Demonstrated with the discrimination of glucose enantiomers, the photoelectrochemically active gate electrode is prepared by integrating Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) and a chiral Cu(II)-metal-organic framework (c-CuMOF) onto TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNT). The captured glucose enantiomers are oxidized to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) by the oxidase-mimicking AuNPs-loaded c-CuMOF. Based on the confinement effect of the mesopocket structure of the c-CuMOF and the remarkable charge transfer...

Electrostatic Self-assembly Synthesis of Pd/In2O3 Nanocatalysts with Improved Performance Toward CO2 Hydrogenation to Methanol
ChemSusChem. 2024 May 1:e202400543. doi: 10.1002/cssc.202400543. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTCO2 hydrogenation to methanol has emerged as a promising strategy for achieving carbon neutrality and mitigating global warming, in which the supported Pd/In2O3 catalysts are attracting great attention due to their high selectivity. Nonetheless, conventional impregnation methods induce strong metal-support interaction (SMSI) between Pd and In2O3, which leads to the excessive reduction of In2O3 and the formation of undesirable PdIn alloy in hydrogen-rich atmospheres. Herein, we innovatively synthesized Pd/In2O3 nanocatalysts by th...

Chemistry. 2024 May 1:e202401045. doi: 10.1002/chem.202401045. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTNatural light-responsive rhodopsins play a critical role in visual conversion, signal transduction, energy transmission, etc., which has aroused extensive interest in the past decade. Inspired by these gorgeous works of living beings, scientists have constructed various biomimetic light-responsive nanochannels to mimic the behaviors of rhodopsins. However, it is still challenging to build stimuli-responsive sub-nanochannels only regulated by visible light as the rhodopsins are always at the sub-nanometer level and regulated by visi...
