A giant multi-compartment lipoma of the hand causing median nerve compression: A case report and review of literature
CONCLUSION: Giant multi-compartment lipomas of the hand are rare. Surgical excision is advocated for suspicion of malignancy, nerve compression and functional limitation. Enbloc resection without fragmentation has minimal risk of recurrence and complications.PMID:38503162 | DOI:10.1016/j.ijscr.2024.109527 (Source: Hand Surgery)

A comprehensive analysis of CD47 expression in various histological subtypes of soft tissue sarcoma: exploring novel opportunities for macrophage-directed treatments
ConclusionThis study highlights the potential of the CD47 molecule as a promising immunotherapeutic target in STS, particularly given its elevated expression levels in diverse sarcoma types. Our data showed a notable trend linking CD47 expression to tumor grade, while also suggesting an interesting correlation between enhanced abundance of CD47 expression and a reduced hazard risk of disease progression. Although these findings shed light on different roles of CD47 in STS, further research is crucial to assess its potential in clinical settings. First-Line Anlotinib Treatment for Soft Tissue Sarcoma in Chemotherapy-Ineligible Patients: An Open-label, Single-arm, Phase 2 Clinical Trial
CONCLUSIONS: The findings suggest a potential benefit in employing front-line anlotinib to treat patients with STS, who are not eligible for cytotoxic chemotherapy. Of note, the clinical outcomes for the LPS subgroup of patients were encouraging.PMID:38483309 | DOI:10.1158/1078-0432.CCR-23-3983 (Source: Clinical Cancer Research)

Soft tissue tumours of the penis. The 30-year Istituto Nazionale Tumori di Milano experience
CONCLUSIONS: Among sarcomas of the genitourinary tract, tumours of the soft tissues of the penis are the rarest. Penile sarcomas can present at a young age. Kaposi's sarcoma in HIV-negative patients has a favorable outcome, while deep sarcomas have an aggressive behavior and poor prognosis.PMID:38482674 | PMC:PMC10938274 | DOI:10.32074/1591-951X-953 (Source: Pathologica)
