Quadruple overlapping autoimmune diseases manifested as sarcoidosis with mediastinal lymphadenopathy: a case report
We present a rare case of a 55-year-old female patient with quadruple overlapping autoimmune diseases, including vitiligo, autoimmune hypothyroidism, ulcerative colitis, and sarcoidosis with mediastinal lymphadenopathy. The patient had been suffering from vitiligo since 2003 and was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism and ulcerative colitis through thyroid ultrasound and colonoscopy, respectively. After physical examination, mediastinal lymph nodes enlargement was detected, and sarcoidosis was diagnosed through ultrasound bronchoscope-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), which is a quadruple overlappin...

Transition from Hashimoto thyroiditis to Graves ’s Disease: an unpredictable change?
ConclusionsConversion of Hashimoto Thyroiditis towards Graves ’ disease is a rare phenomenon which can occur almost at any time after the development of autoimmune hypothyroidism. Our findings suggest active surveillance of hypothyroid patients who require frequent reduction of levothyroxine during follow up and testing for TSHR antibodies in these patients. Permanent versus Transient Congenital Hypothyroidism in Chinese Children: Physical Growth and Predictive Nomogram
CONCLUSIONS: TSH at NBS and L-T4 doses during treatment can be used to distinguish between PCH and TCH early in life, and the predictive efficacy can be improved using multivariable models with a visualized nomogram. At 3 years of age, patients with TCH and PCH showed similar growth.PMID:38104243 | DOI:10.1210/clinem/dgad739 (Source: The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism)
