Preoperative endothelial dysfunction for the prediction of acute kidney injury after cardiac surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass: a pilot study based on a second analysis of the MONS study
ConclusionsThe preoperative peak amplitude of endothelium-dependent vasodilation is independently associated with the postoperative occurrence of AKI.Trial registrationClinical-Trials.gov, NCT03631797. Perinatal outcomes following fetoscopic laser surgery for early twin ‐to‐twin transfusion syndrome: Systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionsIn early TTTS treated with FLS, outcomes were comparable between those treated at<18  weeks compared with ≥18 weeks except for GA at delivery, which was 3 weeks earlier. In the subset treated at<16  weeks vs 16–18 weeks, the procedure was feasible without an increased risk of very early preterm birth or perinatal mortality. Cryotherapy for oral potentially malignant disorders
Bioinformation. 2023 Dec 31;19(13):1377-1382. doi: 10.6026/973206300191377. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTFour surgical treatment modalities namely cryosurgery, scalpel and blade surgery, diode LASER surgery and CO2 LASER surgery in the management of oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) in terms of healing outcomes post operatively and recurrence is evaluated. The study included sixty outpatients whose biopsies revealed OPMDs (oral lichen planus, homogeneous leukoplakia, non-homogenous leukoplakia and erythroplakia). There is decrease in post-operative pain and oedema in all four treatment categories at one week follow ...
