Cardiovascular safety of mirabegron add ‐on therapy to tamsulosin for the treatment of overactive bladder in men with lower urinary tract symptoms: A post hoc analysis from the MATCH study
ConclusionsCardiovascular ‐related adverse events were uncommon in both treatment groups. Mirabegron is a well‐tolerated add‐on therapy to tamsulosin in Japanese and Korean males with residual overactive bladder symptoms. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Development of a core data set for pelvic floor disorder patients registry
ConclusionsThis dataset has the potential for standardizing the data by providing accurate, consistent, complete and uniform data elements. Furthermore, it can provide valuable research facilities for clinicians and researchers in the healthcare system resulting in improvement of the quality of care and containment of costs. The effect of tension ‐free vaginal tape on coital incontinence concomitant with stress urinary incontinence
ConclusionsThe TVT procedure may offer treatment for coital incontinence accompanying USI. It also provides significant improvement in the sexual lives of women. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Impact of clean intermittent catheterization on quality of life of patients with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction due to radical hysterectomy: A cross ‐sectional study
ConclusionsQOL in patients with CIC was worse than in patients with SV in the short term, but similar in the long term, which suggests that QOL probably might improve with time in patients with CIC. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Female bladder neck dysfunction —A video‐urodynamic diagnosis among women with voiding dysfunction
ConclusionsBND includes 12.3% of women with bladder outlet dysfunction. High ‐pressure BND can cause anatomical BOO, whereas low‐pressure BND is likely to affect micturition through inhibiting detrusor contractility. VUDS is the mainstay diagnostic tool to diagnose BND in women. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Achieving clinically meaningful quality of life benefits in nocturia takes time: Results from a long ‐term, multicenter phase 3 study of desmopressin in Japanese patients
ConclusionsDesmopressin ODTs (25 and 50  μg) demonstrated long‐term efficacy, improved QoL, and were well tolerated in Japanese male and female patients with nocturia treated for up to 1 year. Clinically meaningful improvements in patients’ QoL, assessed by N‐QoL, sleep quality, and bother, occur later than objective symptom im provements, such as voids. Association of intrinsic sphincter deficiency with urine flow acceleration measurement
ConclusionThe Valsalva leak point pressure and maximum urethral closure pressure measurements in assessing urethral function are not useful for predicting incontinence surgery failure. We demonstrated that Qacc is higher in ISD stress incontinent women than stress incontinent women. Qacc may demonstrate urethral resistance and tonus in a more reliable manner. Vanilla scent reduces frequency of urination in urethane ‐anesthetized rats
ConclusionsVanilla scent decreased serum catecholamine levels and urination frequency in rats under light urethane anesthesia. These results suggest that the scent of vanilla may reduce nocturia. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis in contemporary UK practice: Outcomes of phenotype ‐directed management
ConclusionsThe presence of HLD in patients with BPS/IC is not uncommon. Pelvic imaging rarely identifies any cause for pain and so cystoscopy under anesthesia is essential for accurate phenotyping. Phenotype ‐directed management with holmium laser ablation to Hunner lesions has good short‐term efficacy in improving pain, but re‐intervention is often required. Clinical characterization of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome in women based on the presence or absence of Hunner lesions and glomerulations
ConclusionsThe presence of HL is associated with distinctive clinical characteristics, while glomerulations are not in female patients with IC/BPS. The presence of HL, but not glomerulations, is a robust phenotypic feature of IC/BPS in women. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Bladder neck and urethral erosions after Macroplastique injections
ConclusionMPQ erosions present predominantly with UTI, sometimes years after the original injection, and may necessitate endoscopic management with satisfactory results in most patients. Following excision of MPQ, these patients are highly likely to experience SUI recurrence and need to be appropriately counseled. Some may require additional subsequent autologous fascial sling placement for treatment of their SUI symptoms. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)
