Comparison of effectiveness between modified transvaginal mesh surgery and vaginal pessary treatment in patients with symptomatic pelvic organ prolapse
ConclusionsBoth the modified TVM surgery and vaginal pessary effectively treated prolapse and voiding symptoms and improved most of the prolapse-related QOL domains. Modified TVM surgery was more effective in improving urinary storage, bowel, and sexual symptoms than the pessary treatment. Modified TVM seemed to position the organs more correctly to improve bladder, bowel, and sexual function than pessary insertion. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

The use of intravesical hyaluronic acid in the management of symptomatic premenopausal women with pseudomembranous trigonitis: Are symptoms related to cystoscopy and pathological findings?
ConclusionsIntravesical HA appeared to be effective and well tolerated, although a clear relationship between symptoms and trigonitis was not confirmed. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Impact of COVID ‐19 pandemic on lower urinary tract symptoms in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and predictors of urine retention in such patients
ConclusionLUTS in BPH patients were significantly affected by COVID-19. COVID-19 increases IPSS leading to a change in the treatment modality of BPH. On multivariate analysis, age, pre-COVID-19 IPSS, and positive urine culture were the independent predictors of urine retention post COVID-19 infection. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Comparison of Prolift, Perigee ‐Apogee, Prosima, and Elevate transvaginal mesh systems in pelvic organ prolapse surgery: Clinical outcomes of a long‐term observational study
ConclusionDifferent vaginal mesh designs have various advantages and features. Prolift provided the best long-term anatomic success but had a high mesh exposure rate. Elevate gave comparable short-term success but had a decreased long-term success rate. However, Elevate is superior with the lowest long-term mesh exposure rate. Prosima had the worst anatomic correction and highest mesh exposure rates. This study provides a comprehensive long-term comparative result for POP patients and surgeons. Effect of systemic atherosclerosis on overactive bladder symptoms in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia
ConclusionsFactors associated with male OAB exhibit different pathophysiology in the severity of symptoms depending on the presence of BPH/LUTS. Treatment for atherosclerosis and associated systemic pathophysiological factors could lower OAB symptom severity in male patients without BPH/LUTS. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)

Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate: A truly size ‐independent method?
ConclusionWhile larger prostates take significantly longer to operate on, postoperative functional outcomes show no difference between all sizes. In conclusion, HoLEP is a size-independent and effective method for surgical treatment of LUTS/BPO in prostates ≥30 cc. (Source: LUTS: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms)
