A meta-analysis of epitopes in prostate-specific antigens identifies opportunities and knowledge gaps
CONCLUSION: CEDAR provides a comprehensive repository of epitopes related to prostate-specific antigens. This inventory of epitope data with its wealth of searchable T cell, B cell and MHC ligand information provides a useful tool for the scientific community. At the same time, we identify significant knowledge gaps that could be addressed by experimental analysis.PMID:37679223 | DOI:10.1016/j.humimm.2023.08.145 (Source: Human Immunology)

Persistent sepsis-induced transcriptomic signatures in signaling pathways of peripheral blood leukocytes: A pilot study
Hum Immunol. 2023 Sep 4:S0198-8859(23)00314-2. doi: 10.1016/j.humimm.2023.08.146. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTSepsis is a dysregulated immune response to infections that frequently precipitates multiple organ dysfunction and death despite intensive supportive therapy. The aim of the present study was to identify sepsis-induced alterations in the signaling transcriptome of peripheral blood leukocytes that might shed light on the elusive transition from proinflammatory to anti-inflammatory responses and underlie long-term post-sepsis immunosuppression. Peripheral blood leukocytes were collected from subjects (i) with syste...

Decoding the contextual duality of CD40 functions
Hum Immunol. 2023 Aug 16:S0198-8859(23)00310-5. doi: 10.1016/j.humimm.2023.08.142. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPreviously, we established that as a function of its mode of interaction with its ligand or cellular conditions such as membrane lipids, preexisting signaling intermediates activation status, a transmembrane receptor, as represented here with CD40, can induce counteractive cellular responses. Using CD40-binding peptides, recombinant mutated CD40-ligands, and an agonistic antibody, we have established the functional duality of CD40. CD40 builds up two constitutionally different signalosomes on lipid raft and non-...
