Novel curcumin nanoformulation induces apoptosis, and reduces migration and angiogenesis in liver cancer cells
CONCLUSION: Treatment of LC cells with Cur-NPs decreased cell proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis, and induced cell death by promoting the proapoptotic pathway.PMID:37524306 | DOI:10.1080/21691401.2023.2238756 (Source: Artificial Cells, Nanomedicine and Biotechnology)

Cholesterol-linoleic acid liposomes induced extracellular vesicles secretion from immortalized adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells for < em > in  vitro < /em > cell migration
Artif Cells Nanomed Biotechnol. 2023 Dec;51(1):346-360. doi: 10.1080/21691401.2023.2237534.ABSTRACTExtracellular vesicles (EVs) are small vesicles that are naturally released by cells and play a crucial role in cell-to-cell communication, tissue repair and regeneration. As naturally secreted EVs are limited, liposomes with different physicochemical properties, such as 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium propane (DOTAP) and linoleic acid (LA) with modifications have been formulated to improve EVs secretion for in vitro wound healing. Various analyses, including dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscop...

Impact of Aluminium phthalocyanine nanoconjugate on melanoma stem cells
This study considered at the effect of PDT on CD133+ Melanoma Stem Cells utilising an Aluminium Phthalocyanine Gold Nanoparticle (AlPcS4Cl-AuNP) combination. A ligand exchange approach was used to conjugate AlPcS4Cl-PEG-AuNP-COOH and was characterised using UV-Vis, FTIR, DLS and Zeta Potential. Stem cells isolated from the A375 cell line irradiated with a laser at 673.2 nm with a fluency of 5 J/cm2 were evaluated. Furthermore, it was important to study if apoptosis was one of the mechanisms causing to cell death which was substantiated with Annexin V/PI, caspase 3 and p53 analysis. The nanoparticle conjugate mediated PDT p...
