Why aren't we educating residents about.....
The difference between SDG, CMG, hospital employment?
At my "power house" 4 year academic residency, we received not one hour regarding this.
Is it that they just have no idea? Don't care? Want to push all the residents into academics? Are ignorant? Combo of all the above?
I worked a bit of moonlighting at a community 3 year program w ties to one of the big anti-CMG voices in EM, and they seemed to get it more, but jeez we are really failing the residents. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

OU-HCOM (OOS) vs DMU (IS)
Hi! I currently have acceptances to both of these schools and am trying to figure out which one would be the better choice. For reference, I am thinking of going into internal medicine for residency. Since I am OOS for OU-HCOM, the tuition would be similar between the two.

Administrators meddling in OR operations
This is mostly for the more seasoned folks with admin experience..... Having ran ORs/Led a few departments of varying sizes
the issue of administration (ie CMOs, CEOs, etc.) and some "protected" surgeons (who are plugged into the hospital board etc)
meddling in OR operations thinking they have the answers and pushing chairs, floor runners etc etc around is (IMO) is a growing

SCS multiple procedure reduction
Hello:
I’m in a hospital employed wRVU-based compensation model. I’ve been reviewing my coding and the system is applying a 50% reduction in wRVU to 63685 when doing an SCS implant.
My understanding was that 63650x2 and 63685 are submitted without a -51 modifier. Do any know if Medicare/payers are subjecting the 63685 payment to a multiple procedures reduction?

What should I do?
I applied to this past cycle with a sGPA of 3.6, cGPA of 3.89, but an MCAT of 497. I have a publication, 100+ hours of non clinical volunteering, 100+ hours of clinical volunteering and work experience.
