Effect and interactions of BRAF on lymph node metastasis in papillary thyroid carcinoma with Hashimoto's thyroiditis
CONCLUSION: BRAF is a risk factor for LN metastasis in PTC with HT. Meanwhile, BRAF can interacts with age, BMI, hypertension, and calcification which together influence LN metastasis.PMID:37967234 | DOI:10.1210/clinem/dgad667 (Source: The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism)

HT-RCM: Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Ultrasound Image Classification Model based on Res-FCT and Res-CAM
IEEE J Biomed Health Inform. 2023 Nov 10;PP. doi: 10.1109/JBHI.2023.3331944. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe early lesions of Hashimoto's thyroiditis are inconspicuous, and the ultrasonic features of these early lesions are indistinguishable from other thyroid diseases. This paper proposes a Hashimoto Thyroiditis ultrasound image classification model HT-RCM which consists of a Residual Full Convolution Transformer (Res-FCT) model and a Residual Channel Attention Module (Res-CAM). To collect the low-order information caused by hypoechoic signals accurately, the residual connection is injected between FCTs to form Res-FCT ...

Network Pharmacology Studies on the Molecular Mechanism of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Treated with Shutiao Qiji Decoction
CONCLUSION: It is verified by molecular docking results that Shutiao Qiji Decoction has a potential therapeutic effect on Hashimoto's thyroiditis in the MAPK/TSHR/NOTCH signal pathway, and that the main components, mairin, stigmasterol, poriferast-5-en-3beta-ol, and chryseriol play a role in it. SQD has been shown to have a good therapeutic effect on Hashimoto's thyroiditis.PMID:37929726 | DOI:10.2174/0113862073259714231012070100 (Source: Combinatorial Chemistry and High Throughput Screening)

Clinical and molecular impact of concurrent thyroid autoimmune disease and thyroid cancer: From the bench to bedside
Rev Endocr Metab Disord. 2023 Oct 27. doi: 10.1007/s11154-023-09846-w. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe recent incorporation of immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting the PD-1 (programmed cell death receptor 1) and CTLA-4 (cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4) pathways into the therapeutic armamentarium of cancer has increased the need to understand the correlation between the immune system, autoimmunity, and malignant neoplasms. Both autoimmune thyroid diseases and thyroid cancer are common clinical conditions. The molecular pathology of autoimmune thyroid diseases is characterized by the important impact of the PD-1/PD-L1 a...
