Uncommon Cause of Hemoptysis in a 15-Year-Old Boy

He was being followed by the pediatric pulmonology department for necrotizing pneumonia and a right upper lobe lung abscess with residual pneumatocele 5 years earlier. He had also experienced recurrent perianal abscesses and more than 15 acute suppurative otitis media throughout his life, even after myringotomy and transtympanic drainage; methicillin-sensitive Staphyloccocus aureus was found in a culture of otic exudate. Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty and Grommet Insertion: A Combined Surgical Treatment for Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction

Petrous Apicitis: A Systematic Review and Case Presentation

Simulation-based surgical training needs in otorhinolaryngology
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings extend the results obtained in a previous general needs assessment and may inform curricular implementation of SBT in private ORL practice. A structured "package" with SBT and assessment for the identified procedures are desired by trainers.
