Congenital absence of fallopian tubes with malpositioned ovary seen at time of endometriosis surgery
20-year-old presented with pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea. Prior treatment included oral contraceptives and laparoscopic adhesiolysis Findings from prior surgery revealed absent left fallopian tube and “left ovarian remnant” adhesed to pelvic sidewall. Outside pelvic magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound revealed uterus in the left hemi-pelvis, right ovary in the posterior cul-de-sac, and left ovary medial to the internal iliac near the sigmoid No deep infiltrating endometriosis was noted. Inhibition of IGF2BP1 attenuates the progression of endometriosis through PTBP1
CONCLUSIONS: IGF2BP1 exhibits potential beneficial properties in the management of EMs by interacting with PTBP1, thereby highlighting IGF2BP1 as a promising therapeutic target for EMs.PMID:38563050 | DOI:10.5603/fhc.98213 (Source: Folia Histochemica et Cytobiologica)
