A comparative study in left-sided breast cancer treated with moderate deep inspiratory breath hold versus free breathing
CONCLUSIONS: Incorporating ABC-mDIBH for left-sided breast cancer radiotherapy significantly reduces the doses received by the heart, LADA, and left and right lung, with no compromise in plan quality but with an increase in treatment time.PMID:38584227 | DOI:10.1186/s43046-024-00214-6 (Source: J Egypt Natl Canc In...)

The Contribution of Serum Sialic Acid Binding Immunoglobulin-Like Lectin 1(sSIGLEC-1) as an IFN I Signature Biomarker in the Progression of Atherosclerosis in Egyptian Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) Patients
Indian J Clin Biochem. 2024 Apr;39(2):291-298. doi: 10.1007/s12291-023-01155-y. Epub 2023 Sep 30.ABSTRACTClinical symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), such as atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular diseases, are caused by inflammatory cytokines and endothelial cell damage. The serum sialic acid binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 1 (sSIGLEC-1) is thought to be an alternative biomarker of IFN signature and may have a role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. The aim of the study was to measure the levels of sSIGLEC-1 in the serum of SLE patients in comparison to a control group and examine the associations ...
