I need some help from those who have gone through this process or who have some knowledge about the licensure process for some states in the US As per the Michigan Pharmacist Licensing Guide, it seems that Canadian Pharmacists who have completed 1600 hours of pharmacy practice can be licensed to practise in Michigan if their PEBC result (part 1 and 2), Certificate of Pharmacy education and MPJE results have... Role Modeling How to Grind and Create a Hustle Culture for Gen Z workers...
Question for those in the group who manage younger employees/training: Decades of research from social science, organizational psychology, and educational experiments converge on the reproducible finding that role-modeling behavior is the most effective way to influence and change others' behavior around you. Whether you BELIEVE it or not, you will succumb to the influence of the cultural norms around you most of the time. Be it social contagion, Stockholm syndrome, "motivated reasoning,"... Early Intervention Psychological Evaluations - Rates?
Hello all! I have been working as a school psychologist in NYC conducting assessments with students from early childhood education to high school over the last decade. I recently became licensed and am also entering the realm of EI. I am quickly finding out that licensed psychologists are in high demand to conduct diagnostic evaluations for autism at this level. So, there are lots of EI agencies emailing me and calling me and asking me for my rate. The problem I am experiencing is that the... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How is the laborist model?
starting recognize my interest in higher acuity medicine while still in love with OBG. Wondering more and more about the laborist model. Wondering what experiences people have had? How it compares to traditional models in terms of life style being shift work without call. is it worth it? my biggest concern would be losing continuity of care which is so important to me. Though that may change as time goes on and I continue in my education. compensation? wondering if getting into laborist too... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Opinion; Expanding Podiatric Residency for MD/DOs
Would the profession of podiatry as a whole benefit if Podiatry / Foot & Ankle Surgery becomes an MD/DO, ACGME accredited 3 year residency program? Clearly, this decision will call for demise of the Podiatric Colleges and put a huge dent on these "Dean/CEOs" who only have money as their best interest over the quality of student education. Furthermore, it will alleviate the concerns for Podiatric Residencies closing as the numbers of graduates are ever decreasing due to low recruitment... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Absolutely Appreciate the IGNORE Button on this forum
I come to these forums for some entertainment, humor, and God forbid, some education. But mostly for comedic relief. I give you my honest opinion, based on my very limited knowledge. I am 100% okay with discord, criticism and conflict. But as an old guy, I just cannot tolerate blowhards and buffoons. With EGOS big enough their head would get stuck in doorways. I just don't need any of their Sheet. Therefore, the IGNORE button comes in handy! Now used it several times. Try it, you will... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

NYC DPT Programs
I was recently admitted to columbia, nyu, and touro's PT schools. Touro is the cheapest option by a lot Columbia's location is not the greatest as it is all the way up manhattan NYU is super expensive but I like the location Overall each program has many connections and I will get a good education at any of them, so now it comes down to the name, location, and cost. I really need help deciding because when I try to be financially smart, Touro is the best option, it is in a good... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Home Health
I've become increasingly interested in the field of home health and I'm highly likely to pursue it after graduation and licensure. I have a good shot of having my 4th clinical education with Bayada. In my area, Fox Rehab and Bayada seem to be two of the top home health providers. Bayada also partners with Jefferson and other local hospitals. If any current home health therapists/assistants can answer a few of my questions or provide advice I'd appreciate it. What are the pros/cons... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is being the only black person in my dental school class a valid reason to transfer?
I am the only African -American student out of 100 students and I feel like it made my journey harder. Not having people to relate with or connect with among my cohort is an isolating experience. Though my classmates are nice I am never included but that's also because everyone just sticks to their culture. I just completed my first semester and I honestly don't want to continue my education here, I would rather go to a more diverse institution. For context, when I accepted my spot I was...
