lumbar fusion surgery L3-5, in 70 year old male in prone position, with history of htn, diabetes, cad EKG sinus brady Labs unremarkable In middle of surgery with 1 hour left to surgery, patient develop rapid narrow complex tachycardia to 130s. Initially appeared irregular, but then regular. Couldnt definitely see P waves on the OR monitors with 5 lead ekg. otherwise nothing remarkable about surgery. MCAT Accommodations for Type 1 Diabetes?

Anyone worked for a primary care clinic? Experiences?
Hi all, I am considering picking up a moonlighting gig for a primary care clinic. The clinic is run by an IM doc and sees typical primary care stuff (annual physicals, diabetes and HTN management, referrals to specialists, maybe some urgent care stuff, etc) I have no primary care experience and haven't ever worked in an outpatient clinic (ABEM boarded and have only worked in EDs) Has any EM-trained physicians here tried this? vision loss after hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Hi, I'm hoping I can get some direction on where to look for answers. My friend who is a type 1 diabetic had hyperbaric oxygen therapy to treat a foot wound a year ago. She completed the treatment in January 2019 and had significant decrease in her vision. She had Lasix years ago and now her vision is down to -4. Her wound doctor and eye doctor haven't been able to answer if her vision is now going to stay this way or if it will improve. Searching for articles hasn't been super helpful.
