Help. need urgent advice!!!!
Hey Folks! I'm in a bit of a predicament here. I completed my undergrad in 2019 and graduated with a cGPA of 3.13 and sGPA of 3.0. I started my undergrad as an engineering student and throughout my undergrad career I did a lot of college hopping ( went to 4 different colleges/Univs.). But, attended only 1 college as an actual "pre-med" where I graduated from with a BS in Biology. I took some time off after I graduated and took the MCAT and scored 507 (128/122/129/128). I was hoping to apply... HELP. NEED URGENT ADVICE!!!! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do I have to send empty transcripts from colleges I enrolled in but did not take classes at?
I know that we have to send in transcripts from every college we've attended. My university didn't offer some courses and I planned to take them at CC (so I enrolled to CC) but I realized that I don't need those courses so I didn't enroll in them. If I haven't taken a class at this college, do I really need to send in my empty transcript? Not sure if you understand what I mean. But your advice is greatly appreciated! Volunteer hours and gap year
Hi all, Currently, I have not had any volunteer experience since high school (spring of my junior year in college). I'm aware this is less than ideal, but since I transferred colleges and had to make up for credits, sought out research internships, and work as a babysitter on the side, I haven't had the ability to volunteer as I would have liked. I thoroughly enjoy helping people etc. so this isn't just a "check the box" issue for me, but rather I just couldn't find the time given the other... Do I have a shot at dental school with a rough start in undergrad?
oGPA: 3.500 BCP: 3.480 BCP + other sciences: 3.409 However, some of my individual grades were terrible (had 2 Fs, 1 D+, and Ws) in my 1st and 2nd year. These are non-science courses, before I decided that I want to be a dentist. I took these online courses at local community colleges to learn on the side during my free time (art, website design, music, graphic design, etc.) I didn't really focus on taking exams or quizzes on some occasions since I'm a full-time university student. I focused... Do I have a shot at dental school with a rough start in undergrad? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do I have to submit ALL transcripts from community colleges?
I'm from a university, but I took a couple of classes at a community college for fun and I received As in both of them. I transferred the credits directly to my university immediately, so the credits are already shown on my university transcript. The reason why I don't want to submit this particular transcript from the community college is that I took another class two semesters later at the same community college. I forgot to take an online quiz towards the end of my course. My A dropped... Do I have to submit ALL transcripts from community colleges? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

In case you were thinking about going to Liberty University...READ THIS
The Dean flat out said campus is to stay OPEN amidst this outbreak, even defying state law. The state FORCED him to close campus and make classes be online, and he has still insisted on keeping the campus open: Colleges are emptying because of coronavirus. Liberty University is inviting students back As college campuses close, Liberty University is welcoming students back. President Jerry Falwell Jr. has said people are overreacting to coronavirus. www.usatoday.com Edit: Second article I just fou...

BU 7 Year BA/MD vs Penn vs Dartmouth
Hi All, I'm new to SDN. I'm a high school senior now and have to make a decision for colleges. I got into the above schools and would like to know your opinions on which is the best choice. Here are some of the main pros for the medical program vs ivies. BU BA/MD Pros: - Guaranteed top 30 medical school - Much lower stress - Become a doctor faster (7 years rather than 9 because of gap year) Ivies Pros: - Probably better social life and memories--given that I'll vibe with the student... Named School vs Unknown School
Hello everyone and thanks ahead of time if you can offer some advice! I have a graduating high school student who is struggling to chose a college and because I never attended college and my husband went to University in another country with a vastly different educational system we are limited with how much advice we can give. So far she has been accepted to all the colleges she applied to, but the two top ranking ones to her mind could not be more different from one another. I'm fairly... clarifying applicant data on school sites
Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while (just working through prereqs, working, etc.), but always enjoy this site and community. I definitely troll the successful applicant stats at colleges I'm interested in attending (what better way to increase anxiety, right? lol), but am confused by one thing. Applying to medical school with 2 bachelor's degrees?
First some background information: My college offers a combined degree program in which you stay at this college for 3 or 4 years and earn a BA in any major, and then you're guaranteed transfer admission to Columbia University for another 2 years and earn a BS in any engineering discipline. After you complete this program (which overall will take 5 or 6 years), you will have 2 bachelor's degrees from 2 different colleges (this college and Columbia). And, of course, the guaranteed transfer... Applying to medical school with 2 bachelor's degrees? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
