Lysimachia foenum-graecum Hance (Primulaceae) is a medicinal plant used for cold, pain, ascariasis, etc., in China. Triterpenoid saponins have been found to be the main components of this genus. Small bowel obstruction caused by massive ascariasis: two case reports
CONCLUSION: The type of surgery undertaken is determined by the results of the laparotomy. If the bowel was found to be intact and the obstruction was at the ileum level, milking worms to the cecum can be done with caution to avoid trauma to the bowel wall. An unusual presentation of diabetic ketoacidosis associated with ascariasis and fungal esophagitis: A case report
Rationale:
Gastrointestinal symptoms are most commonly observed in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), which usually resolves completely with therapy. However, gastrointestinal symptoms may persist after DKA is resolved.
