General Chemistry Extensive Content Review
I need help figuring out how to go about doing an extensive content review for General Chemistry. I was a ***** at this stage of my undergrad and crammed and learned minimal amounts of info. I was thinking about reading Kaplan's book and watching Chad's videos or Khan Academy? My professor has left up recordings for semester 2 topics as well, but nothing for semester 1. Did I Mess Up (and what to do next)?
Hi! I'm a junior microbiology major/soc minor hoping to take the mcat jan 16. I studied lightly over the summer, mostly khan academy videos, psych soc document, and some CARS passages on jack westin. Then in august I started content review, 2 chapters a day from Kaplan (different subjects) everyday, a few CARS passages, and some flashcards for psych soc. I finished content and planned to start questions...but mid-oct school started to go horribly and virtual school sapped my energy and i... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Remember the professor who penned one of the earliest papers on pharmacist job saturation? He's back.
In 2013, Dr. Daniel Brown published a paper titled "A Looming Joblessness Crisis for New Pharmacy Graduates and the Implications It Holds for the Academy." Well he's back with his 2020 update, calling the crisis now a "survival of the fittest" situation. What's notable is that he includes a section on "practical survival strategies" for schools which essentially echoes what many on this sub often poke fun at: reducing admissions standards/elimination of PCAT requirements... Hey friends, Covid willing, I'll be starting a DIY Career Change post-bacc in the Spring 2021 semester. I've suddenly got a lot of free time on my hands since I work for a college that is staying closed till November, and I figured why not get a head start? So I am asking for help with finding lots of resources. Is Magoosh too good to be true?
I am planning to retake the MCAT this coming winter and am a bit overwhelmed at the amount of resources that are out there to choose from. Right now I am planning to use TBR for books, Uworld for Qbank, Khan Academy for videos and am going to try to stick to the SDN 100 day schedule. However, I recently came across Magoosh which offers: 12 months of access 380+ content review videos 740+ questions including 3 practice tests with question explanations Study Schedules and perhaps most... Psychology Emotion Theory Question
I came across this question in the AAMC Sample test and am confused. I watched the Khan Academy P/S videos which stated: 1) James-Lange Theory: event -> physiological response -> interpretation of response -> emotion. 2) cannon-bard theory: event -> physiological response and emotion simultaneously 3) schachter-singer two factor theory: event -> physiological response and identify the reason for the event and physiological response (cognitive label) -> emotion 4) lazarous theory: event ->... MCAT selfprep or other free resources
Has anyone used mcatselfprep? Is it any good - referring to the free version. Alternatively, does anyone have a recommendation for good free mcat prep resources? My plan is to purchase the Kaplan 7 prep test set when the newest one comes out next month. I am aware of Khan Academy and I am using them some, but I find their style isn't the best for me generally. I have not completed the chemistry and physics related courses yet so I don't feel that it is worth it at this point to shell out... Preparing for Calculus 1
