Non-ABPS boards
What are general thoughts on non-ABPS certifications? American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery American Boar of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Obviously the ABPS hates them. But if you're a general surgeon doing one of these and NOT planning on doing flaps or real reconstruction, just cosmetic surgeries, is there any problem with it? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Self-education/staying up-to-date in private practice
I'm 2 years into practice and I'm curious how other attendings in private practice go about continuing to learn techniques, stay up-to-date on new technology, and continue to read the latest journal articles/publications since we aren't in an academic environment? Attending the annual academy and other subspecialty meetings helps, but what do you do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to keep yourselves current with the latest in the field? What about the business aspect of practice? My own... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Gamsat advice: How to best prepare (very long post)
In conclusion (feel like I'm wrapping up a GAMSAT essay here haha), don't give up. Just because you think you may not be good enough for this exam does not mean you aren't. Work hard and at the end of the day, the best you can do is try. Simply the fact that you're sitting the exam and putting yourself through the stress and pressure already shows that you have one of the traits of a worthy doctor. Good luck :) (Source: The Student Room)

Membership in Honorary/Professional Societies on ERAS
If you paid for membership of societies like the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) or the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and have attended their national conferences would you add them in the "Membership in Honorary/Professional Societies" section? Or should you be in a leadership position in these organizations if you list them in ERAS in this section? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
