Minimizing optical attribute errors for a lane departure warning system using an ultra-wide-angle camera
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) rely on lane departure warning (LDW) technology to enhance safety while driving. However, the ... (Source: Journal of the Optical Society of America A)

Ruxolitinib Cream 1.5%: A Review in Non-Segmental Vitiligo
AbstractTopical ruxolitinib 1.5% cream (Opzelura®), a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor, is the first treatment to be approved in several countries for use in patients aged ≥ 12 years with non-segmental vitiligo. In the identical phase III TRuE-V1 and TRuE-V2 trials, significantly more ruxolitinib cream recipients were able to achieve statistically significant and clinically meaningful facial and total body repigmentation, as well as reductions in vitiligo noticea bility, compared with vehicle recipients. Efficacy was sustained in longer-term analyses to week 104 of treatment. Ruxolitinib 1.5% cream was generally tolerabl...

Effects of red meat taxes and warning labels on food groups selected in a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Policies to reduce red meat consumption are also likely to affect consumption of other types of foods that are relevant to both health and environmental outcomes.TRIAL REGISTRATION: NCT04716010 on www.CLINICALTRIALS: gov .PMID:38622655 | DOI:10.1186/s12966-024-01584-9 (Source: Health Physics)

The chest X-ray score baseline in predicting continuous oxygen therapy failure in low-risk aged patients after thoracic surgery
CONCLUSIONS: The RALE score predict the risk of COT failure in elderly, low-risk thoracic patients better than the Brixia score. This simple, cheap, and noninvasive method helps evaluate postoperative lung damage, monitor treatment response, and provide early warning for oxygen therapy escalation. Further studies are required to confirm the validity and applicability of this model in different settings and populations.PMID:38617782 | PMC:PMC11009605 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-23-1786 (Source: Journal of Thoracic Disease)

Impaired cerebral autoregulation detected in early prevasospasm period is associated with unfavorable outcome after spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage: an observational prospective pilot study
ConclusionsA relatively small delay of ∆TCBFV<1.6  s between CBFV(t) and ABP(t) waves could be an early warning sign associated with unfavorable outcomes in SAH patients. The BRS during boot deflation can be used as a biomarker for the prediction of DCI.Trial registrationClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT06028906. Effects of red meat taxes and warning labels on food groups selected in a randomized controlled trial
High consumption of red and processed meat contributes to both health and environmental harms. Warning labels and taxes for red meat reduce selection of red meat overall, but little is known about how these po... (Source: International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity)
