Peripheral vascular disease
Hi
I am a physician with a strong interest in peripheral vascular disease. I am curious about your training because you care for patient with both arterial disease and venous disease wounds. What are you taught regarding when you should refer a patient for venous disease work-up or for arterial disease work-up? Do they teach you to work it up yourself and if so how? Do residents / fellows ever train in private practice settings?
M2 here considering dermatology. Given that dermatology is such an outpatient—and private practice—dominated specialty, do dermatology residents / fellows ever work in private practice? (i.e., rotate to a private practice for a few months during training)?
Or is all residency / fellowship only at the teaching hospital sponsoring the residency? I'm just thinking it doesn't really make sense to learn non-invasive cosmetic surgery, in the hospital, when most of it is practiced in private...

Hi all, how is a full-time teaching position in public schools viewed in medical schools apps?
