Preparing for D1
Hello! I am finishing my senior year of undergrad and beginning my D1 in the fall. I was wondering on how I could best prepare to get a jump on the game to make things a bit easier? A dentist said he would help teach me how to do a wax up. Is there some material I could preview over the summer to make things easier? Question about fellowships
I was just thinking about the all too common scenario "what if the residency I go to doesn't end up teaching me the tools I want to succeed as a highly skilled podiatrist and surgeon".
1. Is there a difference between low tier and high tier residencies in terms of education of in clinic care, and also surgical care? If so, to what extent? Big difference or minor?

Any thoughts on how to make extra income as a resident
Currently a junior resident in a surgical subspecialty. Doing everything I can to put money in a 401k and an IRA. Being responsible doesn't leave that much extra income for trips or fun activities with the COL in my area. The myth of a tough preceptor
This isn't a brand new article, but I felt it is good to share. To many of the preceptors I have met over the year try so hard to be "the tough ones". I have never felt that was necessary - I teach practical knowledge, I do hold people to high standards (attendance, deadlines, etc) - but never chastise them for getting the wrong answer. I feel pharmacy is very bad at what is talked about here.
