Comparing 5G mobile stroke unit and emergency medical service in patients acute ischemic stroke eligible for t ‐PA treatment: A prospective, single‐center clinical trial in Ya'an, China
ConclusionsOur findings indicate that 5G MSU care significantly reduces the time from symptom onset to stroke diagnosis and intravenous thrombolysis in patients with AIS, resulting in improved functional outcomes compared to EMS care. As China continues its deployment of 5G technology and other digital infrastructures, the adoption of 5G MSU care on a broader scale may eventually supplant traditional stroke treatment approaches.

Tenecteplase vs. Alteplase for Intravenous Thrombolytic Therapy of Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
ConclusionsThis meta-analysis showed that tenecteplase was not inferior to alteplase in early thrombolytic therapy in patients with AIS, and was even better than alteplase on some efficacy outcomes with no significant differences in safety. However, as a result of some inherent limitations of this study, more high-quality prospective clinical studies are needed to confirm these results.

Improving door-to-reperfusion time in acute ischemic stroke during the COVID-19 pandemic: experience from a public comprehensive stroke center in Brazil
ConclusionAcute stroke care continued to be a priority despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of a thrombolytic bolus and the start of continuous infusion on the CT scan table was the main factor that contributed to the reduction of DNT. Continuous monitoring of service times is essential for improving the quality of the stroke center and achieving better functional outcomes for patients.

Elevated NT-proBNP predicts unfavorable outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke after thrombolytic therapy
Few studies correlated n-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) with early neurological deterioration (END) and prognosis of acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) patients with rt-PA intravenous thrombolysi...

Hemorrhagic Conversion of Acute Ischemic Stroke
AbstractStroke is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide; a serious complication of ischemic stroke is hemorrhagic transformation. Current treatment of acute ischemic stroke includes endovascular thrombectomy and thrombolytic therapy. Both of these treatment options are linked with increased risks of hemorrhagic conversion. The diagnosis and timely management of patients with hemorrhagic conversion is critically important to patient outcomes. This review aims to discuss hemorrhagic conversion of acute ischemic stroke including discussion of the pathophysiology, review of risk factors, imaging considerations, ...

Risk factor identification and prediction models for prolonged length of stay in hospital after acute ischemic stroke using artificial neural networks
ConclusionThe artificial neural network model achieved adequate discriminative power for predicting prolonged length of stay after acute ischemic stroke and identified crucial factors associated with a prolonged hospital stay. The proposed model can assist in clinically assessing the risk of prolonged hospitalization, informing decision-making, and developing individualized medical care plans for patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Effects of predictive nursing intervention on cognitive impairment and neurological function in ischemic stroke patients
ConclusionPredictive nursing intervention is beneficial to improve the effects of thrombolytic therapy in patients with ischemic stroke, which improves the neurological, cognitive and motor functions of patients, and reduces the occurrence of complications, suggesting an important clinical application value.

Predictors and long-term outcome of intracranial hemorrhage after thrombolytic therapy for acute ischemic stroke —A prospective single-center study
DiscussionOlder age, higher NIHSS, large vessel occlusion, and intra-arterial thrombolysis may correlate with ICH. The unfavorable outcome is more common in patients with ICH. Precise scoring of post-thrombolysis bleeding might be a useful tool in the evaluation of the patient's prognosis. Our findings may help to identify predictors and estimate the prognosis of ICH in patients with AIS treated with rt-PA.

Pre- and in-hospital delays in the use of thrombolytic therapy for patients with acute ischemic stroke in rural and urban Egypt
ConclusionThe limited availability of stroke-ready hospitals in rural Egypt leads to delays in stroke management, with subsequent treatment inequality of rural patients with acute stroke.

The application of pre-hospital first aid mode in patients with acute stroke: meta-analysis
Folia Neuropathol. 2022;60(3):284-291. doi: 10.5114/fn.2022.117614.ABSTRACTTo systematically evaluate the application effect of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency mode in patients with acute stroke. The study was conducted by systematic search of Chinese (CNKI, Wanfang and VIP) and English (PubMed, EMBASE and Cochrane Library) databases. The case-control studies comparing the role of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency mode for patients with acute stroke were included in this study. Outcome indicators included the time from admission to thrombolytic therapy (DNT), the time from calling for help to receiving professi...
