Correlation between Immune-Inflammatory Markers and Clinical Features in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Immune-inflammatory markers dynamically increased from symptom onset of acute ischemic stroke in patients eligible for thrombolytic therapy. Higher levels of immune-inflammatory markers suggest more in-hospital complications and unfavorable short-term outcomes.PMID:34018169

Predictive value of admission neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio in symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage after stroke thrombolysis
ConclusionFor predicting SICH, NLR did not provide strong specificity and sensitivity. A precise cut-off value could not be found to predict the hemorrhagic transformation.

Machine Learning-Based Prediction of Brain Tissue Infarction in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke Treated With Theophylline as an Add-On to Thrombolytic Therapy: A Randomized Clinical Trial Subgroup Analysis
Conclusions: The predicted follow-up brain lesions for each patient were not significantly different for patients virtually treated with theophylline or placebo, as an add-on to thrombolytic therapy. Thus, this study confirmed the lack of neuroprotective effect of theophylline shown in the main clinical trial and is contrary to the results from preclinical stroke models.

Impact of Hospital Level on Stroke Outcomes in the Thrombolytic Therapy Era in Northeast Thailand: A Retrospective Study
ConclusionCHs may have the potential for acute ischemic stroke care in the same way as RHs or THs, with faster rt-PA treatment, in northeast Thailand. However, further studies should be performed to evaluate appropriate patient characteristics for CHs.

Delayed administration of thrombolytic therapy in minor stroke
CONCLUSIONS: The presence of few symptoms in minor strokes can make them difficult to recognise and could be a reason for delaying treatment. Training among staff caring for these patients is essential to improve this aspect.PMID:33978229 | DOI:10.33588/rn.7210.2020510
