Smoking-Thrombolysis Paradox: Recanalization and Reperfusion Rates After Intravenous Tissue Plasminogen Activator in Smokers With Ischemic Stroke Original Contributions
Conclusions— Smoking is independently associated with recanalization and reperfusion, indicating that thrombolytic therapy acts more effectively in smokers; because of small numbers, these results should be considered preliminary. Intravenous Thrombolysis in Posterior Circulation Stroke
Conclusions: Up to date, no data about PCIS and IVT are available from RTCs. Based on limited results from retrospective clinical studies and case series, IVT is safer for use in PCIS than in ACIS. Patients with brainstem ischemia, vertebral artery occlusion, and absence of basilar or posterior cerebral artery occlusion could be considered for treatment with IVT even in borderline cases. Combined thrombolysis in posterior circulation stroke caused by bilateral vertebral artery dissection in squash player.
CONCLUSIONS: Vertebral artery dissection should be taken into consideration in differential diagnosis of posterior circulation stroke or TIA in young patients with a history of even as subtle precipitating events as forceful head movements. Combined thrombolytic therapy may provide safe and effective treatment of stroke-complicated cases. This case report shows that expanded diagnostic protocol for acute ischemic stroke, including computed tomography perfusion study and angiography of cervical and cranial vessels, assures rapid and correct diagnosis. Delayed Endovascular Thrombectomy in a Patient Suffering from Stroke in Progression after Intravenous Thrombolytic Therapy.
CONCLUSION: In LAO patients, directly proceeding EVT following IVT may not be hesitated. Timing of recanalization and outcome in ischemic-stroke patients treated with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator.

Comparison of susceptibility-weighted and perfusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in the detection of penumbra in acute ischemic stroke
Conclusions DWI-SWI mismatch is a good marker for evaluating ischemic penumbra in stroke patients with cerebral infarction. SWI can detect thrombus in the affected vessels, and may be useful for guiding intra-arterial thrombolytic therapy.

Cryptogenic Stroke Caused by Pulmonary Arterial Venous Malformation with Massive Right-to-Left Shunt: A Case Report
ConclusionsPAVM is an important risk factor for PE and CS and should not be ignored as a possible etiology in stroke patients without any other risk factors. CTA of the pulmonary artery is the recommended gold standard for diagnosing and locating a PAVM. Thrombolytic therapy within the time window combined with transcatheter device occlusion of arteriovenous malformation and rehabilitation training may benefit the recovery of patients with CS caused by PE resulting from PAVM.
