Anaemia and low body mass index are associated with increased cardiovascular disease in patients with Takayasu arteritis.
CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggests that in addition to traditional CV risk factors, anaemia and low body mass index are independently associated with increased CVD in patients with TA.

Rheumatoid Factors Are Associated with Subclinical and Clinical Atherosclerosis in African American Women: The Multi‐Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA)

Risk of premature cerebrovascular disease in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.
CONCLUSIONS: Among the patients included in this study, patients with AS sought treatment for cerebrovascular disease were at a younger age compared to control patients without AS. Thus, our results indicate that AS patients have an increased risk for the premature onset of cerebrovascular disease. And the premature atherosclerosis may associate with the patients with AS. Furthermore, the high frequency of the small-vessel stroke subtype in AS patients indicates that small-vessel inflammation may be involved in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases in AS patients. Predictors of Cardiovascular Hospitalization in Giant Cell Arteritis: Effect of Statin Exposure. A French Population-based Study.
CONCLUSION: Patients with GCA present a high risk of cardiovascular hospitalization after diagnosis. In patients with incident GCA from the Midi-Pyrenees region, southern France, statin therapy was associated with reduced cardiovascular hospitalizations.

The cutaneous manifestations are significantly related to cerebrovascular in a Serbian cohort of patients with Hughes syndrome.
Conclusion In this cross-section analysis of a large cohort of Serbian APS patients, there was a strong relationship between cutaneous and cerebrovascular manifestations, suggesting a more cautious approach regarding neurological symptoms, especially in PAPS patients with cutaneous manifestations present.

Is Rheumatoid Arthritis a Cardiovascular Risk Equivalent to Diabetes?
ConclusionFindings from the present study suggest that while CVD risk in RA is elevated, it is lower in magnitude compared to the CVD risk associated with diabetes. Association between primary Sj ögren's syndrome, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Our study has shown an increased risk of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease in patients with pSS. These results support multiple studies' finding of increased arterial stiffness in patients with pSS.

Cardiovascular (CV) Risk after Initiation of Abatacept versus TNF Inhibitors in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients with and without Baseline CV Disease.
CONCLUSION: In this large cohort of publicly or privately insured patients with RA in the United States, ABA was associated with a 20% reduced risk of CVD versus TNFi. While this observational study is subject to potential residual confounding, our results were consistent in patients with baseline CVD.

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease: a nationwide, population-based study in Korea.
Conclusions Here, systemic lupus erythematosus was an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, thus cardiac assessment and management are critical in systemic lupus erythematosus patients.
