Conclusions— The NASA Registry has demonstrated that clinical outcomes and survival are significantly better in patients treated with LA, without increased symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage risk. Future trials should prospectively evaluate the effect of GA on outcomes.

Age- and Sex-Associated Impacts of Body Mass Index on Stroke Type Risk: A 27-Year Prospective Cohort Study in a Low-Income Population in China
Conclusions Being overweight increased the risk of both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes; obesity was only associated with an increased risk of IS. Intraoperative hypotension and perioperative acute ischemic stroke in patients having major elective non-cardiovascular non-neurological surgery
ConclusionOur analysis suggests that when MAP is less than 60  mmHg for more than 20 min, there is increased odds of acute ischemic stroke. Further studies are needed to determine what MAP should be targeted during surgery to optimize cerebral perfusion and limit ischemic stroke risk.

Outcomes of General Anesthesia and Conscious Sedation in Endovascular Treatment for Stroke.
Conclusion General anesthesia for endovascular intervention in acute ischemic stroke was associated with increased mortality and poorer neurological incomes compared with conscious sedation. In our study, age, gender, history of hypertension, history of diabetes, and baseline National Institute of Health Stroke Scale were not significantly different between the groups. Although the need for a randomized, prospective study on this topic is clear, our study represents further corroboration of the safety and efficacy of conscious sedation in these procedures. Influence of tidal volume on pulse pressure variation and stroke volume variation during experimental intra-abdominal hypertension
Conclusion: IAH induction in non-hypovolemic subjects significantly increased SVV and PPV with the three tested V T , but the magnitude of that change was higher with larger V T . This observation reveals the dependence of functional hemodynamic markers on intrathoracic as well intra-abdominal pressures, in addition to volemic status. Also, PPV and SVV were unable to predict fluid responsiveness after IAH induction. Future studies should take into consideration these findings when exploring relationships between dynamic preload indicators and fluid responsiveness during IAH.
