Imprecise eponyms in stroke medicine & #8211; A growing need for uniform terminologies/definitions across the globe
Conclusions: The most imprecise term that continues to be used is “CVA”. The precisely defined entity like “cerebrovascular disease,” which is a group of diseases, continues to be used inappropriately. All the terms are not defined uniformly across the globe, whereas most continue to use the World Health Organisation definition of stroke, defined in the 1970s. Epidemiology of young stroke in the ludhiana population-based stroke registry
Conclusion: Hypertension, diabetes mellitus, drug addiction, and tobacco intake were significantly associated with young stroke. Outcome was also better in younger people.

Predictors of caregiver burden after stroke in Nigeria: Effect on psychosocial well-being.
Conclusion: In this study, psychosocial burden in CGs was indexed by various determinants and impacted QoL negatively. Given the integral role of CGs to the care of SSs in the community, mental health services, psychosocial support programs, and stratification based on known vulnerability factors seems viable options for intervention, assessment, and planning.

Cardiovascular and stroke disease risk among doctors: a cross-sectional study.
Abstract
The leading causes of death in the world are cardiovascular disease (CVD) and stroke according to the World Health Organization, as is also the case in India. There is also a high prevalence of major conventional risk factors in India, where 18.3%, 9.0% and 14.1% of adults are diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes and smoking, respectively. The aim of the present study was to look at the risk of CVD among doctors in our country using a validated tool developed by the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, the QRISK3 calculator.

Plasma Metal Concentrations and Incident Coronary Heart Disease in Chinese Adults: The Dongfeng-Tongji Cohort
Conclusions:

Endocrine Disruptors and Health Effects in Africa: A Call for Action
Conclusion:
To address the many challenges posed by EDCs, we argue that Africans should take the lead in prioritization and evaluation of environmental hazards, including EDCs. What Causes Microcephaly?

Microcephaly is usually defined as an occipitofrontal head circumference (OFC) more than 2 standard deviations (SD) below the mean for sex, age and ethnicity. Severe microcephaly is used for OFC < 3 standard deviations. Rates of microcephaly range from 0.5-12 patients/10,000 live births.
