Cerebrospinal Fluid Flow Analysis in Tuberculous Meningitis Using Phase Contrast Technique on 3 Tesla MRI: A New Paradigm and Our Initial Experience
Conclusion: PC-MRI is a sensitive technique to analyze altered CSF flow dynamics in tuberculous meningitis patients. This is a useful adjunct in imaging these patients to extract both the qualitative and quantitative information about CSF flow for comprehensive evaluation.

Arterial Ischemic Stroke —Peculiarities of Clinical Presentation and Risk Factors in Indian Children

We retrospectively reviewed data on 95 children (69 boys), aged 3 months to 17 years, with AIS. Focal signs were noted in 84 (88%) with hemiparesis in 72 (76%). Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis in children: A study from a tertiary care hospital of eastern India
Conclusion: CVST is an underdiagnosed but important cause of stroke in childhood, occurring most often in the neonatal period. Mortality and morbidity are significant. Infections hyper coagulative disorders are the two primary associations. Magnetic resonance venography is the investigation of choice. Early diagnosis with management along with plan for secondary prevention can save from catastrophic consequences.

Immunological biomarkers in neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus: a comparative cross-sectional study from a tertiary care center in South India.
CONCLUSION: No single biomarker correlated with NPSLE. Among different NPSLE manifestations, the prevalence of IgG β2GP1 in stroke, LA in demyelination, anti-ribosomal P in psychosis and anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein in mood disorder were higher. Acute kidney injury with neurological features: Beware of the star fruit and its caramboxin
We present a case of a 51-year-old male with paresis and altered mental status. Screening for neurological diseases such as stroke, Guillain-Barre, meningitis and encephalitis were negative. In the evolution, he developed acute kidney failure and was submitted to 4 dialysis sessions. After talking to the family, we discovered he had ingested over 50 star fruits prior to the acute neurologic deficits. He recovered renal function so a renal biopsy was not required. What Causes Microcephaly?
Discussion Microcephaly is usually defined as an occipitofrontal head circumference (OFC) more than 2 standard deviations (SD) below the mean for sex, age and ethnicity. Severe microcephaly is used for OFC < 3 standard deviations. Rates of microcephaly range from 0.5-12 patients/10,000 live births.
