Relative Effect of Current Intensive Lipid-Lowering Drugs on Cardiovascular Outcomes in Secondary Prevention  - A Meta-Analysis of 12 Randomized Trials.
CONCLUSIONS: In secondary prevention patients, the relative benefits of high-dose statin, ezetimibe-statin, and PCSK9 inhibitor-statin treatments were varied and decreased gradually, of which high-dose statin was significantly superior to PCSK9 inhibitor-statin for improving MACE and revascularization per 1 mmol/L reduction of LDL-C. A comparative meta-analysis of the efficacy of statin-ezetimibe co-therapy versus statin monotherapy in reducing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular adverse events in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Methods: We performed a cumulative meta-analysis of lipid lowering trials that reported intracerebral hemorrhage. Statin, fibrate, ezetimibe, PCSK9, and CETP trials were included. We explored whether the association of lipid lowering therapy and risk of intracerebral hemorrhage may vary by baseline low-density lipoprotein (LDL) level, mean change in LDL or baseline cardiovascular risk of population.

Cost-Effectiveness of Alirocumab: A Just-in-Time Analysis Based on the ODYSSEY Outcomes Trial.

Ezetimibe for the prevention of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality events.
CONCLUSIONS: Moderate- to high-quality evidence suggests that ezetimibe has modest beneficial effects on the risk of CVD endpoints, primarily driven by a reduction in non-fatal MI and non-fatal stroke, but it has little or no effect on clinical fatal endpoints. The cardiovascular benefit of ezetimibe might involve the reduction of LDL-C, total cholesterol and triglycerides.
