Preventable Cases of Oral Anticoagulant-Induced Bleeding: Data From the Spontaneous Reporting System
Conclusion: Our findings describe the most reported risk factors for preventability of oral anticoagulant-induced bleedings. These factors may be useful for targeting interventions to improve pharmacovigilance activities in our regional territory and to reduce the burden of medication errors and inappropriate prescription.

Conclusions: In average, blood spends 1 to 3 beats inside the LV with very low shear stress rates. The apical region is the most prone to blood stasis, particularly in mid-aged adults. External Validation of Hematoma Expansion Scores in Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage in an Asian Patient Cohort
ConclusionsTo our knowledge, this is the first study to validate HE scores, namely PREDICT, 9-Point and BRAIN, in a multi-ethnic Asian ICH patient population. The PREDICT score was the best performing model in our study cohort, based on the performance metrics employed in this study. Our findings also showed support for CT angiography spot sign as a predictor of outcome after ICH. Although the models assessed are sufficient for risk stratification, the discrimination and calibration are at best moderate and could be improved.

Interview Functional Independence Measure score: self-reporting as a simpler alternative to multidisciplinary functional assessment.
CONCLUSION: There was no FIM assessment for 14 (29.8%) patients, which highlighted the need for alternative assessment tools. Discrepancies in some scores could be due to ignorance among patients about their own limitations or feelings of embarrassment about reporting. Our results may not be valid for patient populations with cognitive or communication deficits. However, a modest agreement between patient self-reporting and multidisciplinary assessment of FIM motor score was demonstrated. The Relationship Between Ambient Air Pollution and Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Time-Stratified Case-Crossover Study in a City-State With Seasonal Exposure to the Southeast Asian Haze Problem

Improving telestroke treatment times through a quality improvement initiative in a Singapore emergency department.
CONCLUSION: The quality improvement initiative resulted in a reduction in median DTN time. Our approach allowed for a systematic method to resolve delays within the telestroke workflow. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort aimed at providing thrombolysis safely to eligible patients in the shortest possible time.
