Long-Term Post-Stroke Functional Outcomes: A Comparison of Diabetics and Nondiabetics
Conclusions: DM was associated with poor functional outcomes following ischemic stroke in the long term, with the effect remaining consistent throughout the 7-year follow-up period. The effect of body mass index on inpatient rehabilitation outcome after stroke in an East-Asian cohort: a prospective study
CONCLUSION: Findings from this study unequivocally support the benefits of acute inpatient stroke rehabilitation. Patients in the obese BMI range tended to normalise during rehabilitation. CONCLUSION: There are few studies that analyse the incidence of CVD and even fewer that analyse its evolution. The overall median remains high, although the figures are heterogeneous across studies.
